  1. I would agree that he looks a bit tired in matches. He puts in a shift every game though.
  2. Defensively solid all game. When he had the ball though............
  3. Great performance. You know Saylor does not wilt from a war.
  4. Looks like he was trying to play Suarez offside. Jonas really invited pressure on us for no reason though.
  5. Suarez would turn Williamson inside out. Would like atleast Taylor because their CB's are great in the air.
  6. Hope he learns a bit from Moyes. Moyes has been a very reactive manager in his time at Everton but these days he sets his team out to attack. He plays 4 widemen who aim to put the opposition on the back foot. But still a very hardworking out fit.
  7. Yeah Cabs has tekkers but he's no good at corners and indirect freekicks. We've known this for a long time.
  8. Maybe not centrally but certainly much further up the pitch.
  9. Ask Yohan, Pards, Dekka & the Fatman. You can blame Dekka and Ashley for a lot of things but I don't think they have much input on our set piece routines. Not one of our first XI players is good at set-pieces. Pardew said they would look to bring in a set-piece specialist on that radio show.... nothing happened.
  10. Your fitness levels are helped when you don't turn up till the 40th minute.
  11. Long is a very good player. Similar to classic Bellamy. A pest. Either of WBA's strikers would suit one of the Demba's.
  12. He has, but he's abandoned it amongst rumours of Ba not happy out wide, and he even mentioned himself (Pardew) that Ba was concerned about how much time he was going to spend playing out wide. We're now in the position where even Shola is pushed out wide to accommodate Ba's stubbornness. Imo it's very clear where the problem lies, and I think Pardew is trying his best to be diplomatic with Ba in order to keep him at the club so money can be spent elsewhere and not on replacing him, which would be difficult. Erm, I think Pardew isn't moving Demba because he's the one scoring all our goals.
  13. The Cabaye/Tiote partnership is far better than we give it credit for. Even when it's 3 against 2 in midfield they put up a decent fight. Tiote allows Cabaye to play that little bit further up and Cabaye allows Tiote to play a more simplistic game. Without Tiote, Cabaye plays ridiculously deep. Since AC/Nolan/Barton left everything about our set-pieces have been terrible. Cabaye shouldn't be taking them, he's shit at indirect freekicks. It's pathetic the way it's actually a good idea to bring on Raylor because he can put in a good set-piece. Only for Willo to waste it. Nobody goes to the front post. Shit all over.
  14. Is Phil Neville first choice for Everton?
  15. My biggest single gripe with Pardew is that there seems to be no over arching plans. Not for selection, formation, playing style, nothing. I'm not sure he has a plan for anything. What formation does he want us to play? How does he want us to play? What youngsters has he identified to break into the first team set-up? Everything seems very ad hoc. Does he have any long-term plans for Marveaux/Anita?
  16. Cabaye wouldn't be a playmaker for a top side but he would get in ahead of Milner, Barry & a few of the Arsenal lads. Woudl be a regular for Everton. Tiote would get into any team outside the top 4/5 imo.
  17. Wish his distribution was better. When it comes to goalkeeping he's up there with the very best in the league. Rarely gives cheap goals away. You can't say the same for Hart or Vorm.
  18. one of the biggest things I dislike about Pardew is that it seems like there's no "plan" regarding some fringe players. He must know who he thinks has a serious chance of breaking in the first XI. He starts Marveaux then he's gone from the team for ages.
  19. Hughes is a better player than Perch/Simpson. Like still. Perch is a CB to me.
  20. Solano was great for that TEAM. You had Bellamy & Dyer that thrived off cute passes so a Solano was necessity.
