Gordon doesn’t have relationships with other players. Him and Tino have no chemistry. Him and Hall have little chemistry. Get him on the right and out the way of our best combo

He is lightweight tbf. He’s been so shit. Great goal but Gordon was poor and weak throughout.

Think he’s the second best GK in the division. Maybe the best. Him and Allison. Think Pope is on par with the rest.

Wilson has been decent. But of hold up now and again. Which we haven’t seen from Isak in some time.

I think a team like palace need the momentum. But aye a high midtable run then fucking off the league a bit in April and sliding is fine for them. And yeh I can see that actually happening. Think Leicester did that when they got to the Europa semi’s. I would love Palace winning the Europa league. Also they think qualifying for Europe by winning a competition is way better prep than finishing 7th or 8th tbf. You have to slay a beast to win a cup. It’s a lot mentally. The PL is so much more fun without a dominant city team. They are the only club atm with the resources (allowed) and desire to dominate English football. No American owner wants to spend the money to dominate. No other owners are allowed to dominate. If not for City and Pep. I would think we could win a PL in the next 3 years if most chips fell in our favour. 82-85 point league titles are way more achievable and exciting than 90+ point titles.

I wasn’t at anyone specific. Yep. I don’t think the Man U/Spurs model of crashing the league is ideal either which is why I think squad size will also be an issue. They can crash the league and FA Cup. But they still need a bigger squad. Momentum is good for Europe imo. Yo some degree anyway.

Playing football games growing up makes it a lot easier to understand some of these rules. I didn’t know so many PL fans didn’t know Cup winners get European spots and the permutations.

Experience will be a factor. It looks like next years Europa will have stronger teams too. The bigger factor is the lack of relegation threats a team like Palace now has. And squad size. And which ends up being a bigger factor.

I am. But Palace aren’t even a threat to us or a rival. Why would we want them to lose in favour of one of our actual rivals? I get wanting Villa to lose. They are a rival both now and in the future. But Palace are non factor. It’s just a great achievement.

I am biased but I don’t understand how you can be better at other fans winning their first trophy in their lifetimes. In favour of Man City. What a miserable life.

I disagree. Goalkeeper is a unique position. I think there are maybe 2 GKs in the league that are as good as Pope at everything he’s good at and better at his weaknesses. I think we are likely to get a keeper who is better in some ways but inferior in others. Tonali is better than Longstaff at everything pretty much. Theres not many GKs that are better than Pope at everything.

One good thing about an established PL 15-17 is that they can plan long term and form good sides. Any team in the top 12 I think would have a great chance of winning the Europa league this season.
