  1. It was 3 years ago tbf. Yep. And even those last 6 months were shambolic. Staveley could sell a dream, get things done and do that well.
  2. Also - nobody even wants to bid £50m for Guehi (yet). He’s that level where top clubs won’t spend big money on him. Isak is that level.
  3. He’s the literal resource. He has plenty of power. Not enough to force us to do anything. But we have to meet him somewhere satisfactory for all parties.
  4. No news is not good news re: Stadium. It’s long overdue so it’s a red flag until proven otherwise
  5. Have you always been on this side? I think the summer has confirmed it. I seas skeptical before - as I am about everything - but the flags are non stop.
  6. Football fans are so shit. A man scores the winner to get the club its first piece of silverware for 70 years. Because he wants to join a club that regularly wins trophies, you want someone to elbow him?
  7. No. Also - do we trust the club to spend the money wisely? I don’t. Not how we’ve been going no
  8. If we are happy with our revenue performance we should be happy to sell Isak.
  9. A well run club doesn’t sell their star player under these circumstances. We find a mutual agreement for 12 months. And plan for his exit properly.
  10. Waiting for a contract. Waiting to see what we would do in the summer. Waiting to see who would be interested. Outside of this - we look a shitshow. You think Isak isn’t aware?
  11. Exactly. Dont blame the lad at all. Why the fuck doesn’t he have a new contract?
  12. He is poorly paid. He could treble his wages tomorrow. That is a major reason why he wants to leave. He is poorly paid. When Tonali left his boyhood club, he left because the money was too sweet. Every Ajax player earns good money compared to us - they still leave to join Bournemouth. We can’t have it both ways as fans. Let’s grow up.
  13. Then let’s cheer on Isak as he joins Liverpool. And let’s get Tonali to City. Lads are in the peak of their careers. If we don’t plan on becoming a top team over the next 24 months, let them go to top teams. But then it doesn’t make sense that we are fucking around with Elanga’s and Wissa’s. Then we have to realise - nothing we’ve been doing makes sense
  14. I don’t blame him. Would you stay at your company when you know a rival would offer 2-3x? Your company knows the your the man too. What have they been doing/thinking for the last 2 years?
  15. Am I the one coping now? I don’t see how we can sell. Whi is even meant to put together the strategy of how we spend the funds?
  16. You think he’s sold? I don’t. I keep trying to think rationally. We can’t even buy 1 striker, how are we going to buy 2? He can’t be allowed to leave. He does need sweetening though.
  17. Aye. It’s overdue too. Our management is asleep at the wheel too. They only react to crisis.
  18. Nah. He has 3 years left on his deal and most of his biggest suitors have shot their load on strikers already. This has ‘give us one more year and we’ll let you go’ all over it. Better terms on a new deal. Decent release clause. Everyone is happy enough. The problem is we should’ve been sorted out this type of deal. If he was so eager to leave he would’ve given stronger indication in May/June not the end of July.
  19. Not enough. Not enough to get the players we need
  20. He’ll not he sold. We’ll pay him. It’s the release clause and the impact on other signings and the squad and his mindset I’m worried about.
