Madueke looks a better player technically. I don’t think he plays in a raw way. I view him as an all fart no shit type player. Not decisive in the box. His ceiling would be higher but I’m unsure about him mentally. Elanga has that dawg in him.

£150m net spend is likely less than £50m on the books. I think we’d struggle to get £40m for Willock, Longstaff and Vlach but I didn’t think it was possible to get so much money from Kelly. Edit The net spend largely doesn’t matter. It’s the accounting profit on sales that matter and the amortised cost of transfer and annual wages and bonuses.

A 10 semi replaces a the need for a CM. I would be content with Ross Barkley or Doucoure type singing for free or peanuts. Id love Ederson, JP, Elanga and Guehi. Thats a squad that can get to the QFs of the CL and get 75 points in the league. With a bit of luck that side can challenge for a title 80-85 points.

It’s the only way spending £50m+ on JP makes sense. JP best position is at 10/second striker. Why would you spend so much money on him and play him in a position that’s not his best? It also puts the Cunha links into context.

Think JP goes some way to address that. Would stilll get in 1 body though. But if we plan to play 2 in midfield frequently it’s less of an issue. You would expect JP to start 80% of games meaning 1 of the midfield 3 or Isak gets a rest.

Probably don’t spend 5 hours a day on a football forum and various football media, articles etc.

I’ve understood the principles of PSR for a long time. Banter aside I understand the business of football and the game itself better than most.

If we don’t give it a good go we’ll miss out on CL guaranteed. We might miss out anyway tbf. But ultimately if we are to cement ourselves we need back to back CL campaigns. With such hot competition we’ll not achieve it without big investment.

200m is about £50m in amortised cost. Doesn’t sound unreasonable.

No idea what the budget is. Have a whole year to raise funds if necessary. Most important thing is a good CL campaign and getting back into the CL.

If we sign JP we don’t neee to spend significant money on CM cover as we can play 2 rather than 3 in midfield. Could get proper budget CM cover like a Doucoure who would essentially be 6th choice. we just need a CB imo.

Aye I’m just saying if Isak is sold someone else will be bought as a main 9 imo. JP gives us a different dimension
