This is the only game I’ve watched this week. But this happened last season too. But we often had Joelinton or Willock that could hold his hand. With Miley’s lack of experience and athleticism he’s left 1v1 and can’t cope.
-
He’s toast against any pacey winger. Absolute toast.

Howe isn’t that type of manager. Same horses for all courses. -
Is Isak in training pictures?

Eddie is a liar

They don’t care about Hall. He’ll be a Newcastle player next season.

Over a long period of time - they do. -
Excellent result.
-
Season ender for Joelinton.

I think Ramseys ceiling is higher.

Gordon played in pretty much every game he was available for. Him and ASM off the bench was a common sub that helped us a lot. Gordon was coming into a winning team so it was hard to break up.

Don’t even need to do that. A non PIF owned Saudi club can sign him for mega bucks and there’s nothing the PL can do about it. -

I always thought Miggy would be a good back up RW for a year. And an example to new starters. Looks like we won’t have that luxury. We’ll have a thin but quality squad for some time I guess. We really need more youth that can be used as backup. -
Dewsbury-Hall has been a cut above in the champ by all reports.

We had FFP wrigglr room then to go from a £30m target to a £60m target. We may not have that luxury now. -

Isak deal was entirely reactive to Wilson’s injury and the Man City performance. Without that we sign Joao Pedro for half the money and wages. -

This is just a rumour. But if this is true - the situation has been handled poorly by the club. IMO the Saudi interest is carefully orchestrated (it’s not a PIF club). But it looks like nobody bothered to put the feelers out to Miggy to understand if he would be willing to play ball -
No I wanted more signings in the summer. And thought a few of ours were expensive for what we were getting. I obviously didn’t know we had maxed out our FFP pot.
-
Yes. This is light work. It’s the playing traitors that gets in the way of actual work.
-
And maybe I’m taking the ‘plan’ thing too literally as that is my field. We have professionals in charge that are doing their best to make the club a success. Yes that is true. The quality and execution of the plans for this season and next regarding PSR and transfers is up for debate.
-
The Hall loan thing is just a FFP/PSR hack that is mutually useful to us and Chelsea. It’s not a coup or a real loan imo.
-
As someone that has led multi-million pound projects. I can’t say everything is going to plan if the plan keeps changing. Plans can evolve and change. But I can’t say ‘that’s all part of the plan’. It’s part of the new plan aye. The one that is more expensive, delayed, less quality etc. aye. Now some things aren’t ideal at face value and are genuinely part of the original plan. Like eventually selling Bruno or someone. But this isn’t one of those things.
