I couldn’t find the page where I saw it. It was a small margin but one nonetheless. Joeyt’s link proves the point though. Coutinho cost €12m for Liverpool or so. Van Dijk cost €100m (I guess). That €80m would put Liverpool in the lead comfortably. Now I’m certain the Real wage bill could be much higher but the point stands based on that article.

Although I’m not looking forward to English clubs dominating the CL. Liverpool’s squad was already more expensive than Real’s. In a couple years they may end up significantly more expensive.
-
Aye. Earn some major coin. Fill out the medal cabinet.
-
As long as Ashley’s around i’ll Not concern myself with how top 6 teams strengthen. We are looking at 8th - tops. I’m teems of ambition from the top.
-
No way where Liverpool the better team after Salah went off. Liverpool looked dangerous from corners and Mane. That was it. From the injury Marcelo basically went to left wing, left Ramos by himself and they caused Liverpool big problems. Bale scores 63rd minutes. Karius throws it In the net 87. I don’t think Liverpool had a single chance in that period.

Being Raheem Sterling, it doesn’t seem like the wisest moves. But considering that sink was front page news, Seemingly he’s gone the ‘fuck it’ route. The Sun: Raheem Sterling. Greedy bling boy buying expensive tat. Also The Sun: Raheem Sterling. Cheap bastard extraordinaire.

Like the lad. It’s a shame because I reckon he could be a very good PL or international level player. I wonder what his attitude is like.
-
They’ve had it in for Raheem as soon as he mad noise about wanting out of Liverpool he’s been targeted. Don’t know how he handles it internally. But he posted a funny Instagram post with him and Delph with the snake and plane emoji some time ago which made me chuckle.
-
Agreed. Never rated the lad much as a defender. Weak defenders who are poor in the air and don’t anticipate danger irk me a lot. Seemed a nice lad. Hope his career goes well.
-
For their roles Milner and Henderson are very good. AOC and a fully fit Lallana also very good. Being able to press 90 minutes and good at quick transitions seem key to Klopp teams - pace and explosiveness in midfield. It’s ya lad Wijnaldum that’s a let down. Also AOC and Lallana are injury prone. Creativity is lost.
-
Thought he was Atletico bound. Great signing. Fabinho. AOC. Keita. Henderson. Milner. Wijnaldum. Even Lallana. Fantastic options there. A GK. Maybe a young attacker to challenge the top 3. Very tidy. PL clubs financial clout will begin to tell big time. Atletico can’t compete financially with up to 6 PL teams alone.

They were always going to run out of legs imo. They always needed to be in the lead or level going into the final 15 minutes. Their bench as much as anything killed them. Had Karius not made the mistake and Liverpool scored. I would’ve fancied Real to score another in ET.
-
Not to take the piss. But if you didn’t choke it in the second round, you would’ve choked it in the next. Ability wise you can compete for sure.
-
Also fairly obvious Zidane isn’t a massive fan of Bale the way he wasn’t not a massive fan of James. 2 pretty direct players (and neither are workhorses). I think the other 2 are better individual players personally and will be happy for them to move on.
-
It’s a crime against football for Gareth Bale to be warming benches tbf. He came. He saw. He conquered. Won the lot. If Real won’t play him regularly, let’s bring him back to the PL pls. But obviously him and Cristiano should’ve waited until after the celebrations for this. If Cristiano wants to leave, the Bale stays anyway - showing the value of having some class. He could’ve just said ‘I’m going to enjoy tonight, the celebrations and review my future in the summer’. But he obviously wanted to make a statement of intent to other clubs and Perez.

Carvajal got injured in the 2016 CL final. Missed the Euros. This time he’s likely to miss the WC. He would’ve started in both. Who is the back-up?
-
Liverpool/Klopp had some awful turn of events. Best player injured GK throws 2 in. The other goal is the stuff you dream about as a 10 year old. So good it barely makes sense. Think it’s better than Zidanes and Ronaldo’s. Zidane’s cross is Looping in. He has time to set himself up. Extra points for weaker foot and harder technique - but he Zinedine Zidane. I reckon loop 20 balls like that in on Monday, he’ll score a few. Bale’s no right to attempt this one.
-
Aye I don’t think he adds anything to it. Like someone said. It’s rough but not OTT. He didn’t ‘do’ him. Straight away he offers to pick Salah up but Salah realises it might be serious. The Karius thing actually looks worse but again he makes it look innocuous enough. And it certainly rattled Karius it seems.
-
Casemiro. Nacho. Isco. Ronaldo. Didn’t play well imo. Ramos. Kroos. Modric. Benzema. Bale. Great.
-
Thought he struggled immensely in the first half with the press.
-
It’s also something that they’ve not had a real shocker themselves defensively or with GK’s in the 3 years. Sure they have top ability but these are big game performers.
-
Ronaldo were pap too.
-
Klopp also lost a German cup final to Wolfsburg.
-
Well in this instance you have to be impressed with him getting this team to the final man. He's typically taken teams that are not absolute top tier to finals, right? Sevilla they should’ve won. And tbf this team/squad cost more than Real’s. 6 in a row is something. Likewise Real in the CL and Zidane in finals is something.
-
Agreed. Real would beat Zidan and Ronald’s effort. You’re a pedantic bastard.
