Team looks really good going forward. Not kept a clean sheet against 2 poor sides is worrying. No faith in our ability to defend.

So it's mostly just nostalgia then? -
With his injury record I don’t blame him. Decent chance this is his last big contract.
-
There was a period around Christmas maybe a little later where Arsenal were on Sky every week and Wilshere played 3 game a week. In 2 games in particular he was great.
-
I'm team Raheem but he's been unadulterated pap.
-
Put it this way, if he'd saved it, it wouldn't have been because it was a poor pen. It was in the corner. It's literally, not in the corner. It wasn't a poor penalty. But it's not in the unstoppable bracket.
-
His feet are bang in the middle. No jump/spring.
-
Young is a natural winger.
-
And terrible finishing Don't pay close attention to him but he's always struck me as quite a composed finisher too. Lingard that is. Been bad today with finishing. Henderson's passing has been good. England can't defend. Tunisia defend... worse.
-
Lingard (and usually Sterling) have such great movement.
-
Maguire's in the team/squad because he's apparently better on the ball than Lascelles.
-
Should've saved it.

Group C - France, Australia, Peru, Denmark - FRA & DEN advance

C'MON PERU. I do love Nobby -
7 Assists alongside those 2 goals - using Sissoko maths - that's a £30m player. Seriously though.. I like Townsend but this would be an underwhelming signing. Would rather Kenedy. Townsend, Kenedy, a full back & an attacker would be great though. Also not sure why Palace would sell.

Bielsa-ball in a 46 game season. Good luck. Very exciting for them in any case and I hope they get promoted. -
Good move for the lad. I'm excited to see him under Poch.
-
Aye it's a shame really. Rafa's more important but in 5 years time it might look a big mistake.
-
Was actually expecting this to be a Butt like moment, honestly can't remember that. Not even a yellow. Aye. Pretty funny. I assume the Tunisians didn't even make a big fuss trying to get him sent off or booking. "Flykicked in the face but it was an honest attempt". That's a straight red now. Makes me wonder how many goals and achievements the likes of Maradona would rack up now. He must've been kicked up and down Italy week-in-week-out. Also puts into perspective some of the shite PFM's in the media come out with. These are people that were professionals in the game when stuff like this wasn't even a yellow. Then you're asked to make comments about Mesut fucking Ozil.

I haven’t seen a full England game since Iceland tbh.

Too defensive. Too much of a coach/tactician. This era of success was started by someone in that vein (Mourinho) but only reaped major rewards with more laid back ‘Presidential’ type managers in Carlo and Zidane. Unless Poch or Klopp, I reckon they go down that route. -

They won the league cup during that time. They also have more PL point than us. By 40 or so. A good season and we’ll overtake them.
-
Don’t rate Southgate at all. Feel he will do well to still have a job at the end of all this. Might get away with ‘young team’ excuse.

Fair enough, I wasn’t there. But 20+ years is a long time. It’s differnt when the scars are fresh. But I take your point.
