Also having a top 5 striker itw is a big reason we are still in the running.

Think that’s good news. Still don’t understand the plan as to how we close the revenue gap. ‘More pressure on commercial team’ isn’t a plan.

Didn't have to make any saves though. He swept up and commanded his area well. But before he was a great shot stopper. One of the best in the league. That part of his game is under question and without it.. he's neck and neck with Dubs.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

6 teams won’t get 68+ points. 3 teams won’t get 70+ points. 70 points will be enough for 4th. 68 will be enough for 5th. 66-67 may even be enough for 5th. -

Maybe it’s cope. But I’m starting to think the more PL clubs in Europe the better. These new European formats are killers for PL teams. For all but the truly elite or lucky - it’s an automatic -5 points minimum. If Villa don’t have European football next year they’ll finish top 4/5 imo. If we had European football this year we would be at the bottom of the top 9 imo. -

Winning the league cup has little bearing on qualifying for the CL. We don’t need to discuss this hypothetical. -
I think it's rare a team plays it's best in a final tbh. It's about being present in big moments. Decisive in both boxes. Last time we played well enough but lacked in both boxes when it counted. I guess we are almost saying the same thing. A multiple time CL winner coming up big from a set piece was that little gap in quality between both teams. Edit: I think about all Real's CL wins over the last 10-12 years. They dominated Juve for one of them. The other 4 victories, the main difference was coming up big in both boxes when it mattered. Fairly even games where Madrid's quality and composure in both boxes won it.

Man U could finish 15th and qualify for the CL if they win the Europa league -

Agreed. I only see teams 3-6 going up or down a place maybe 2. Think Forests floor is 5th. Chelsea have had 2 of the easiest fixtures in the league. I’m not sure they are any good. -

No. They said it at the start because history suggests England would based on the previous 10 seasons. 7 or 8 times England had a top 2 coefficient. But when us and Man U finished bottom of our CL groups (winning only 2 games between the clubs) it looked unlikely and by March it was gone. -

5th will be CL. Villa Arsenal and Chelsea will progress in Europe. Villa won’t finish in the top 5. They would do extremely well to finish 6th. I expect they’ll have a minimum of 5 cup games to play. They can’t play those and win 7 of their last 9 league games. -
On a Lower budget we need to build a side similar to PSG. Young, Athletic and ballerific
-
Love that Dembele is finally realising his potential too
-
He’s a baller but I think he struggles in most non ball dominant PL sides
-
Vitinha Joao Neves Ruiz Kvara Dembele Barcola Zaire-Emery It’s some proper ballers. Very impressed with Mendes and Pacho too.
-
Vitinha? He’s brill. was at Wolves a couple seasons back.
-
They also have a bit of a monopoly on the best local pool of talent in Europe. Paris and France in particular just has so many ballers. Then they have their pick of the finest young players in Europe. This should have always been the model.
-
This PSG team is tops tbf. A lot of pure ballers in that side. That front 6 everyone is a baller. Then a couple more ballers off the bench.
-
Donnarumma has saved 4 of the 10 penalties he’s faced in England no? A 5th was missed.
-
THEY ARE GOING OOOOOOOT
-
You knew Nunez would miss.
-
PSG wingers never want to cross. Shoot every time.
-
Salah’s been awful and a diving prick.
-
People would rather Konate start at CB than Endo?
