Agreed. Of all the big clubs they’re the ones we could emulate with good owners. The others are historically bigger than ours or have people funding them. The last decade they’ve been canny and they’ve won 1 trophy to show for it. I’d like Kane to stay there and pickup meaningful silverware.

Why? Real Madrid usually win CL finals. Think they've won the last 4 or 5. While Juve usually lose CL finals... 1 win in 4 finals? And that was marred by tragedy. Other thing is Juve are pretty good against Madrid historically in non Finals games. They beat them over two legs like 3 years ago before losing to Barca in final for example. Don't even understand the Juve in final thing tbh, it must be mental at this point. Madrid should've won that tie imo. They were on a downward trajectory that season and still should've got to the final. I recall floppy hands from Casillas costing a goal and Madrid missing some massive opportunities, goal-line clearances. Think both sides had improved last season. Real have so many clutch players who would expect to win - Juve would only hope. In a final situation anyway. Last years side was also tremendously stacked. A fully fit James Rodriguez didn't even make the squad for the final.

Very Spurs this.

Would've rathered Spurs won tbh. Push our game back into insignificance. OH WELL.

Hella offside.

Good to see Kwadwo Asamoah back in action. One of my favourite players ever.

I thought positionally and tactically Jenas was fine. He just didn't improve or impose himself in matches. Matches would pass him by and you would wonder why. He didn't lack for anything physically and was technically solid. I remember at the time some really hated him. I think I defended him a fair bit because he had ability and normally wasn't bad - but he was rarely any good. Consistently put in 5 - 7's getting by on nothing but decent natural ability. Clearly he was an arrogant prick who thought he was better than he was. Bellamy - I think he reached his potential. Listening to Dyer he trained extremely hard. He improved his finishing a lot with us. He left a much better player than he joined. Can't say the same for Jenas.

What a commendable accolade We are Ghanaian and he's the son of the best Ghanaian player before Essien. Both brothers have had a lot of hype from home from teenagers. Atsu too.

I'm glad Zidane's finally doing something else in midfield.
-
Box to box like the defensive midfielder Gilberto Silva or the attacking midfielder Willian? Eh? Bellamy actually went on to be a better player away from Newcastle tbh.

Give over. You'll be slagging Damien Duff next. LOL. Ranks fairly high in my most disliked players old Damien Duff. Primarily because I remember him being a top player - joined us - absolutely crap. Leaves - and somehow continues in the PL for another 3 years... actually doing good stuff from time to time. What a total bellend.
-
Agree with this tbh. There's something there, hopefully something big. But right now a very flawed player. Can still be huge for us mind.
-
Still ranks as one of our better CM's but he was never the guy like that. Not even close.
-
Even those teams played in competitive leagues no? Or at least Porto didn't win it with a team full of stars.

I've followed Jordan Ayew his entire career and been certain he's absolute bobbins until about 10 weeks ago. Even when he scored the thunder bastard for Villa.Andre Ayew was a top signing though. For whatever reason the Wham move didn't workout but he's a good player and character. We need to at the very least, finish above Huddersfield. Brighton are gone, they're safe imo. But we need to finish above Huddersfield, I reckon a few teams around us can go on a good run.

Aye Jenas was a dickhead. Truth is he didn't impose himself enough to become a top footballer. At the end of the day, he simply wasn't good enough or didn't show it. Newcastle or Spurs fans would say the same. Seemed to have the raw ability to do it all but rarely actually put it to use. Never scored more than 6 goals in a PL season. Doubt his assists were any higher. Sideways, sideways, sideways. Good athlete and frame, rarely used it to boss the midfield. And it's all down to him and nobody else. And that's because he didn't put in the graft in training or on match day. He left not much better than when he joined and didn't improve at Spurs either. He semi suggests he was the best player at NUFC. That was never the case. Flattered to deceive his entire career.

He needed to go at least 4 years ago.

Tbf for clubs the important thing is tickets sold.

After Liverpool and Man Utd, they are pretty much next. The first Arsene winning side was the most expensive PL team at the time.

Video Assistant Referees (VAR)

Goal line tech is great. It’s very quick. It needs to be that level of speed. Offside is often too time consuming Likewise with penalties. -

I think it should only be used for blatent issues. If VAR can’t tell the ref within 30 seconds conclusively then the refs decision goes. No replaying offsides again and again or penalty decisions. -
Yeah Atleti. Let themselves down massively earlier in the season. 2 draws to start the season iirc. Win those and start faster in CL they would be in for a great season.
-
They in the EL? Gotta be favourites.

For a World Cup it’s a cool idea tbh.
