Thoughts on this summer's transfer window
The College Dropout replied to Jack Flash's topic in Football
Been obvious for a few weeks this.... -
Ayew isn't that good.
-
West Brom need a few or else they'll be in serious danger imo. Without Lukaku, starting to look very toothless.
-

-
9th. I don't bother with all that FISO stuff either. Look at the fixtures and just use my superior footballing knowledge to good effect. At the top it's just us.
-
It's pretty clear Wenger thinks this team is growing and he's not keen to go into the transfer market. IMO they need some depth/quality through the spine. They've got Flamini and they won't sign another CM. So they need a striker to compete with Giroud and another CB. Could possibly do with another wide man.

Being in the top 50 is very good here tbh
-
Souness spouting some shit about Ramsey like. There's more types of CM's than attacking midfielders and defensive man. Ramsey's ran the show here like. There's enough goals in this Arsenal side.
-
Arsenal fans have every right to complain. We talk all day about the glory days of KK & SBR and that's where we should be at. Arsenal do the same. Let's not start on those ticket prices.
-
What impressed you? Spurs looked technically sound, defensively sound but did they stretch Arsenal? Have them on the ropes? They look a good strong, well organised side. But 3 games into the season, 0 goals scored from open play.
-
As a coach, i'll keep saying it. At best there's only one manager in the league who is better. The transfers could be better tbh. Ramsey looks a very good player these last few weeks.
-
They play very slowly regardless though and I don't understand it. Maybe I'm a bit "biased" here, but trust me, I know what slow build-up play is like. I actually think their game is too much to do with pace and not enough to do with a bit more thought and nous. I agree tbh. Big, strong, quick lads but so little creativity. Saw them in the flesh against Palace and they didn't impress.
-
Looking like 72 points with 4 to be taken off.

Brought Soldado and Silva in. Both did Fuck all. Had I went with Giroud like I thought at first and somebody cheaper in midfield I would have had the greatest of days.
-
They don't have a final ball, for the past year their final ball has been Bale shooting. Yep. AVB looks like he spends his time scouting for 6'ft lads who know how to defend.
-
Walker's had some mare today.
-
Tottenham looking as un-creative as last season and against Palace.
-
This is a small time mentality imo. A couple years ago Bale was a great player but he needed to adapt his game to become a real world class player. I hope the coaches at the club are pushing him to reach the best of his abilities rather than just being glad he's here. Why settle for Robert when I know HBA could be as good as Pires? Bale who adapted his game to become world class because he was given all the freedom to do what he wanted instead of being an orthadox left winger? I think you're proving Bimpys point there... I'm not talking about defensively. They did a lot more than just let him do whatever he wanted... even physically he's improved greatly year-on-year.
-
62 points with Soldado up next.
-
That's clean sheet bonuses for Mignolet & Johnson. Whilst Sturridge grabbed a goal. Could be heading for the top 10 me.
-
Honestly think Kagawa for Giggs would make a world of difference. He's 39 ffs playing 90 minutes against L'pool away from home.
-
That attitude is just as wrong as the other way. There's a middle ground where he can keep his creativity and spontaneity but still improve on his decision making.
