  1. We should be taking some of these West African lads and make them "English", it's the only way forward. Oh behave! You love Peter really. I like the way Parky has carried his hollow argument through five pages. Really, what is your point?
  2. This may sound a stupid question, but I don't know, I haven't seen much of one of them, and obviously even less of the other, but if you had to get rid of one as they couldn't play together, who would it be, a fit Owen, or Martins? I'd keep them both. It isn't like Owen is going to play 38 games. Maybe with his perma injury, Shay will learn how to throw a ball or pass it short.
  3. Exactly. Nobody wants him and if they do, they couldn't afford his wages. Were stuck with him until he's 31 (Thanks Graeme).
  4. I don't really think it would work, same with the Oba/Owen partnership. All players better at running in behind rather than taking a man on.
  5. The Laurent Robert/Gary Speed/Alan Shearer corners where beautiful, except y'know.... when Larry took the day off. Good days.....**sighs**
  6. Oh how I missed the Bobby days.... Same team week in week out, same formation (most of the time) and a predictable and effective style of play. I remember how dissapointed we all where when we missed out on 4th by the 5 or so points....now look where we are. Granted that season had two other heart breakers but least we had reason to get our hopes up.
  7. Don't see a better team coming in for him....atleast in terms of wages anyway. I don't think he left on a bad note.
  8. Good point. Indeed. Woodgate and Distin in the summer. Totally agree. Is Distin definitely leaving Citeh?
  9. LMAO @ this whole thread. What a bullshit comment to make. It's debatable if he's even a consistant Premiership performer let alone making the lad club captain. He could go on to be the white Titus Bramble minus the fresh air kicks add red cards. Here man, the lad was being sarcastic you know? It's worrying when it gets to such a stage where people are taking comments of that nature seriously on here! Taylor was excellent again today and has really started to pull his act together after an under-par season so far, although it's impossible to predict how he'll turn out he does seem to have all the required physical attributes to be a good quality defender at this level, he just needs to continually strive for improvement within himself and mature on the pitch if he's ever to be as good as previously billed. No defenders in footballing history haven't made mistakes, I think we can allow someone Taylor's age the occasional let-off when he does make one... same goes for Ramage, I suppose. Are there actually centre-halves who are fantastic and practically faultless in every single game that they play? Even at the best clubs with the best team-mates? I certainly haven't seen them/heard about them, if so. Aye, whoosh for me then. But there where a couple other stupid comments up there like him being better than Wes Brown he hasn't even had 1 decent season.

  11. Eh? Everybody remembers the 2-1 at SJP, which in many ways was the start of a great new era under Sir Bob.
  12. Prefer them to get beat on penalties in the play-offs this season and come up the next. We beat them twice and send them back down for the cycle to be repeated.
  13. yes, Arsenal won the title on on goals scored from Liverpool in 1989. games played, wins, draws, loses, points and goal difference were the same Arsenal's beat Liverpool away on the final day of the season 2-0 to win the title with the final kick of the season http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/387/picture2gi0.png http://www.littleleaguesoccer.com.my/images/steve3.jpg One minute lads! Brilliant days. All my mates were Liverpool fans, the only joy I had was whenever L'Pool fucked up.
  14. I'd prefer NUFC to win it of course if that was biased opinion. I hate them both actually. But when EPL still dominated with ManU vs Arsenal.... it was more f****** bored than this few years... More boring than these last 2 years? The Arsenal/Manure years would conjure up some terrific title races whilst Chelsea have strolled to 2 in a row. tell that to david beckham's eyebrow. Dunno why you'd talk to an eyebrow, but you get the point. Angry old Scottish wanker tbh.
  15. ? I meant the FA Cup and League title and I forgot that they won the Carling Cup.....old age is a bastard.
  16. i you can always rely on taylor to stay calm under pressure mackems.gif yes... is it funny? Taylor's a bit of a donkey currently, you cannot be serious.
  17. Split personality? alcohol i'm guessing lol, a bit of both. I think any decent/good side have a good chance at turning over Arsenal at home. They've been missing alot of good chances for months now but knowing Newcastle, the Arse will find their shooting beats and royally whoop us. We love helping teams out of a rut.
  18. I actually reckon we can beat the Arse, they're in terrible-terrible form.
  19. Arsenal's finishing has been terrible for the last few months. No doubt they'll get their act together and rape us.
  20. could be bad news for us though. and i don't mean they'll be after harper! They won't bid for Shay. They've got Foster.
  21. Newcastle finish in mid-table mediocrity. Manure will choke. Chelsea will win the league double. Liverpool will in the CL. Spurs will win the Uefa Cup. Sunderland get promoted. West Ham stay up. Terrible end to the season ahead.
  22. I can just see it, come the end of the season. West Ham beat Manure at Old Trafford, staying up and and condeming the world to Mourinho/Terry/Lampard smug faces for the 3rd year in a row.
