  1. He’s not going anywhere lads
  2. Can pivot between formations which is fine to get some rest.
  3. Thinking more 10 and a striker. Wissa has played in a 2-man attack at Brentford at times too. Them playing together is our only route to the top 5-6 imo.
  4. Let’s replace him asap if we can afford it.
  5. There’s nothing to suggest we are a top club without Eddie imo. Our success was built on Staveley, Howe and Ashworth. The squad that won the league cup and finished 5th is the same one they built together. Thats one of the biggest reasons I’m so pro Eddie. If we get our act together off the pitch and around the club and in the transfer market and Eddie underperforms - he can go fine. But the leadership of this club haven’t done anything in terms of day to day leadership. Not got the stadium or training ground confirmed. Not signed a player. Not renewed key contract. Some of you want them to find a replacement for Eddie Howe? Kin hell
  6. His ambles off the ball. The press is half hearted. That should improve over time. Barnes was a bit like that but he presses with good intensity now. He struggles to control footballs so he can’t get his physicality off on the ball. That is harder to improve.
  7. Every transfer is risky as we’ve seen with Elanga in and Isak flopping at Liverpool. I like what I’ve seen from him but doesn’t seem an Eddie player. In a pretty talented Monaco team he’s the playmaker. So he gets a lot of touches. Often comes towards the ball and looks to find a runner or forward pass which I think would actually work well. I think Howe wants a Minteh type winger. Or a halfway house like Kudus who is pretty dynamic physically but a technician too. Reminds me a bit of Bruno actually. A pure baller. Great attitude but kinda slow for the position. Maybe a bit of the Kulu too.
  8. it’s human nature it just does. If you’re company is struggling, leadership struggles it will eventually make its way to people that have never spoken to or met the leadership and impact morale and performance. A big part of our early success was the atmosphere and optimism Staveley created. It’s reflected in the calibre of player we were attracting - Trippier and Bruno in the relegation battle, Isak and then Tonali. We’ve not signed anyone of that pedigree and calibre since she’s left. We have the weakest squad of the PL teams in the CL. The next weakest squad in the PL is one place above us. I said it last season. This new CL format is gruelling. For a squad like ours it’s -6 to -9 points. We needed a great summer just to get back to 66 points. We didn’t do it and we’ll fall short. Villa finished 6th last season with a considerably better squad imo. You think our squad is as good as the one they ended the season with Kamara, Onana, McGinn, Tielemans, Barkley, Rashford, Malen, Asensio, Rogers, Bailey & Ramsey (lol) for 6 starting positions. Crystal Palace have good players. Sunderland have good players. Fulham have good players. Bournemouth have good players. Man United have good players. We also have good players but the margins are fine in the PL. A world class striker and no CL can be the difference between 5th and midtable. If Man U had won the Europa League Amorim would’ve been sacked by now. They would be doing even worse.
  9. Bad atmosphere in the club and an average squad
  10. Been watching him closely in the CL - I too have doubts about his physicality in the PL. But he's a gifted footballer. A proper playmaker. Doesn't look a Howe player but he does work pretty hard - harder than Elanga imo
  11. Go on the outside and cross type wingers.
  12. Lack of leadership at the top of the club - where is this project going? Shouldn't be his decision alone. And you do need Leaders
  13. I agree with that. He was great. But ultimately A number of Newcastle players have won semi finals. Only 11 have started and won a final. Those 11 are legends to me. I’ll forever remember their names.
  14. It’s the hard working gimmick that masks him. Laurent Robert would’ve got boo’s if he went 19 PL games straight without G/A. Barnes would be sold
  15. He did. But he also fucked up and missed the final through his own idiocy and Barnes stepped up when it mattered. So Barnes is a legend and Gordon isn’t.
  16. I support this so deep in my heart.
  17. Fair. Krafth, Tino, Hall, Trippier (Burn), isnt serious though.
  18. Dunno why we let him go if we didn't plan on replacing him. We have 3 first team fullbacks and intend to go deep in 4 competitions
  19. Arsenal's squad isn't the strongest in Europe like. It's probably the best in the PL. But it lacks goalscorers in attack. Had they signed Etikite, they would sweep the league easily. Funnily enough.. Gyokeres isn't it. But i actually think he would suit us better than Woltemade does currently. Same time he's not that good.
