    Alan Pardew

He usually leaves clubs with reports of him having lost the dressing room and player unrest. Usually due to him shagging a players missus.

    Sports Direct

But he gets free advertising for his company. Highly valuable advertising at that. It's not free. It's at market price, but is a way of reducing tax burdens across different companies.
  3. Look how Luke Edwards' journalism has changed since he joined the Telegraph. Also consider how outspoken Caulkin, and especially Bird and McNally are compared to the majority of the regional journalists. Edwards' latest Blog is interesting... http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/sport/lukeedwards/100017958/jose-enrique-wants-whats-best-for-him-not-newcastle-united/ That's spot on that mind.

Got a bad feeling about this, hope he aion't gonna be a permacrock
  7. On loan from who? I thought we'd released him?? Was the release rumour not part of that bullshit about the reserves being disbanded? No, he definately got paid off and moaned his tits off because he had to pay 40% tax on his pay off as well. He apparently was not being promoted to the reserves and was being held back in the academy for another year. He didn't get on with Joe Joyce and wanted out of the academy so had his contract paid up.
  8. See dotcom are reporting that they have installed a grass pitch especially for our game. Bolton played on astroturf last week and after our game the grass is being ripped up and given to the city of Orlando parks department.
  9. No idea but todays Journal says they are playing Adventure Golf today as a bit of R&R Right next to their hotel and super cheap tourist trap - more cost cutting by Ashley! Where are they staying? From what I've heard they are staying at the Rosen Plaza. Kind of a cheap hotel and not very close to the stadium but it's in a touristy area and close to Disney where I assume they'll be training. The Omni Rosen next to the Orange County Convention Centre? Never struck me as cheap mind.

  11. Have you ever left your house? For example pretty much every town and city in Yorkshire has a passionate hate for every other town and city in Yorkshire which often manifests itself violently. I'm glad that where I live, the vast majority of people aren't that pathetic. Where the fuck do you live like? The Moon? I live in Essex. Don't know of any town to town rivalries that are as ferocious as Newcastle/Sunderland, or what HV said about Yorkshire... I've got mates in Braintree who would argue otherwise with not only inter village/town rivalries in essex but parts of the towns as well. In Braintree alone Goldingham don't talk to the Glebe, Stubbs Lane don't like Bartrams etc . You're living in cloud cuckoo land with your eyes shut and cotton wool in your ears.

  14. You can't compare us to Millwall though. I've never experienced or seen any kind of trouble at away matches in the ten or so years I've been going to games... Darlington was a freak incident. No it wasn't, it was just more open than usual and was inside the ground on the pitch. There's always stuff bubbling away under the surface and away from the ground. Yeh maybe freak was a bit strong, but what i meant is its one of the only times that we've been perceived like this in the media, in a very public place, obviously theirs sometimes reports of trouble but not overly huge topics like this has turned out to be Live on SKY at the SOS in 2008/09 at full time. Bristol City away before the match and then people on the pitch when we scored in 2010 again live on SKY. are 2 that spring to mind.

  16. Have relatives and friends that live in the North-East, have been going up to Newcastle all my life. I know about the local 'rivalry', and pity it. knowing about it and understanding it appear to be completly different things then. I'll never truly understand it, I agree. I could be wrong, but from what I've always been told the rivalry goes back to the English civil war. Newcastle was on the side of the crown, and Sunderland sided with the Parlimentarians - and then a load of shit kicked off about coal and as a cause of that, you hate each other? I've never lived anywhere where there is such hatred for people that live in a city 12 miles away, people of similar stock to yourselves... You'd think with so many people in this country ready to turn their noses up at the north-east, in disregard - there would at least be some brotherhood between the people of the region? Couldn't give a fuck about the 'rivarly', it's primitive - fucking medieval. Where else in the country do you think this goes on, to this kind of level? Its good to see that there are people who don't let this obsession rule their lives (know of a couple married for 20 years, one is a geordie, one is a mackem). Tbh, I'm bloody glad it's something I and those I care about, both now and in the future have never been cursed with. Maybe if some of you guys moved out of the North-East you would see just how abnormal it is, and just how people outside of the North-East react to it? What a load of shit. Southampton and Portsmouth Reading and Oxford and Swindon Ipswich and Norwich Derby and Nottingham Swansea and Cardiff Millwall and West Ham Tottenham and Chelsea Liverpool and Manchester (both clubs) All of those hate each other with the same passion as Newcastle and Sunderland.

Why is his arm not out holding him off?
  19. Well presumably because we don't want to potentially waste a lot of money in transfer fees and wages on a player who'll end up as a reserve and who is only then going to block the progress of the promising young left back that we've already got. I know you like Shane Ferguson, but as a defender he is completely unproven. Enrique has the speed and power to stop any attacker whatever his attributes, whereas Ferguson looks like he could be knocked over by a gust of wind. In fact he's already been knocked out of our optimistic hopes he could play this role through injury in the pre-season friendlies. Thank the lucky stars I say. Ferguson is nails.

Hopefully it's just a case of the club wanting to play it on the safe side. They keep saying how good facilities are in the US so why not make use of them and treat him there if it isn't serious?

  22. Sure I know the last bloke talking I thought the same, very familiar.
  23. Sure i read that they were being allowed some free time to visit WDW anyway. Wouldn't surprise me if they trained at Disneys Wide World of Sports like the Atlanta Braves do.

    Season Tickets

I see. Can't imagine it works that well then, sounds like it would be fairly easy for someone with a banning order to get into grounds and watch the games if they behave and don't draw fuck loads of attention to themselves. They are backed up by CCTV don't forget and have books with mugshots in that they carry with them and study. They know all of the main faces (and more) in any case and plenty people have been prosecuted for breaching bans.
