We were never rock solid mind. Everything in front of us, never got in behind, cleared everything that came in the box, we were never ever in any danger. They got in behind the fullbacks plenty enough times. Guessing you forgot the shot that got cleared off the line after Dubs saved it? I had forgot that tbf, but it never looked like going in anyway. You make your own luck by hard graft and get the rewards for it like we did tonight.

I've seen it described as 3-5-2 but at times we looked like we were playing 4-4-2 with Hayden right midfield and Dummett left midfield with Lejeune left back and manquillo right back.

I thought he was much better yesterday than in any other game this season, looked a lot better playing with Carroll as a partner. He's not got enough aggression to be a goalscorer though.

I dont agree with any of that IMO De Bruyne was the best player The officials were good and balanced Man city had no zip and played at too slow of a pace Officials were atrocious. Massey gave Almiron offside after Shelvey had deliberately waited until he'd got back onside before passing, she flagged more than once for throw ins against us that were obviously not but was over ruled by the ref thankfully. The ref failed to give a 2nd yellow to Fernandinho for the cynical foul that led to the free kick for our 2nd goal. I thought Silva was head and shoulders above everyone else.

Could have easily had another if we had players attacking the box when he crossed in near the end of the first 45. Back foot football from wondercoach Bruce.
