They always have about 4 away police with them and ours go away and patrol when we play away.

Every Club has a group of Football Intelligence Police Officers affiliated to it. They spend the 2 hours before kick off wandering around towns and cities when there is a match on and enter all pubs in a radius of the stadium looking for known "risk" supporters and those on banning orders. When the match kicks off they go into the stadia and do the same and then help police the away fans return to their transport and train station afterwards before standing down approx and hour or so after kick off. They then go to The Monkey bar and get pissed.

Who the fuck are you? Anyway, I guess I'll chip in... The ban isn't a "joke" at all. The people who run this place have two relevant responsibilities here: (1) protecting the interests and reputation of the forum, (2) protecting our users. The first one is self-explanatory - I'm sure I don't need to explain (at least, not to anyone who isn't being contrary just for the sake of it) why it isn't good for the forum to have a hooligan-element associated with it. As for the second, one thing I'd like to bring up is the fact that we have a ticket exchange system on here which the user in question has used in the past to purchase tickets from other users - the fact that people could be selling tickets to somebody like this, to me, is completely unacceptable. There are other issues that come into play as well, but for me those are the two most important ones. Will he be reinstated if found not guilty?

There is no 'offence'. There was an error when he completed the form. Rumour has it he doesn't have a biometric passport & couldn't get one in time to fly out. You don't need to specifically get a biometric passport to travel to the US until your existing passport expires. -

Why would him being French make a difference to whether he needed a visa or not? Maybe because France is one of the Visa Waiver Program countries and therefore he is eligible to travel. |So is Great Britain but the rest of the squad needed work visa's. He's apparently of vietnamese descent which may have had a bearing on things. -

From the vids looks like that lad started it most of it off, complete t***. Hopefully banned. I've heard different things as to how it happened. I don't know, I mean, I wasn't fighting. I'm not a hooligan. Darlo fans ran over and provoked the Newcastle fans. Apparently some steward (a women) got punched and then it escalated into that. I was near the front, got knocked over by all of the pushing and bundled onto the pitch. I got up, looked around to see where I was and then I got pushed into someone who I fell to the floor with and that's when the video picked it up. That lad I fell on top of got pulled away and the lad in the green top kicked me straight in the ribs. I'm a Newcastle fan and so was he, don't understand why he'd kick me for unless he thought I supported Darlington, or if I did something to anger him which I know I didn't as that was the first time I'd even seen the lad. I went back to my seat and kept myself away from any confrontations and stuff. I will be absolutely angered if I was to receive a ban, I don't feel like I've done anything wrong at all. (Obviously invading the pitch) but howay, so did everyone else. The second time though I couldn't help being knocked onto the field. I'd memorise that statement so you'll have no trouble reciting it when the bizzies boot your front door in and drag you out of bed by your nads at 5am. Aye, I doubt out will happen but apparently that lad in the green caused a lot of bother at the train station also. You lot talking about the guy in green as in the one that gets arrested on film? How would he have been at the station? Err, travelling from Newcastle to Darlington for the match perhaps?

Hope it's not a Dan Gosling situation all over again.

Thats it, basically. No- you do need one. Going on holiday there in sept and a friend with a record had to go to embassy in london for interview. Was granted one though Are you a UK citizen? I went to New York last summer and didn't need a visa. Yes you do. It is called a Visa Waiver. You apply online for an ESTA which used to be free but now costs $14. You used to fill a green form in on the plane but now do it electronically in advance. If you have been convicted of certain crimes or served a prison sentence then you have to apply to embassy for "proper" visa and aren't elegible for the 3 month validity visa waiver/ESTA. You still have to fill in the green form on the plane, despite the fact it asks the exact same fucking questions as the ESTA. C'est ridicule Depends on the airline and port of entry. Some are geared up for Electronic only and some aren't quite there yet.

We'll have chartered a plane, won't make any difference.

My thinking as well. Great choice in my john humble.

I would take Long but wouldn't sacrifice Best to do so as i think he's a decent back up striker and proved he can score in the PL last season.

Cockney mate of mine texted me on thursday to say his workmate was talking to Pardew in a strip bar in Marbella but i wasn't sure whether to beleive him or not.
