People will forget about Neymar now because we won't hear his name for weeks on end because there's no champions league football on. He's made a shocking decision, footballing wise, there's no two ways about it. Yeah - I do. I love football but the money in the game is ruining the sport. People want to see the best players stay in the best leagues. In France it's not like the Premiership where all the clubs are benefiting from an insane TV deal, thereby all getting stronger. You have just one team that is being backed up by Sovereign Wealth which no one can compete with. Ibrahimović had more of an impact on footballing world playing the one season in England than he did in all the four seasons in France. People all over the world stood up and remembered how great a player he was. Absolutely not true regarding Ibra. He's not throwing his career away, it's a step down from Barcelona, but any club would be tbh. I don't get the mentality where people want all the best players in the same club. I understand thinking it's a backward move for him, but that just makes it more of a challenge. He has a huge challenge now to prove this move was the right one. People thinking it's all about the money are probably unaware that at the age of 25 he's already the third richest footballer with contracts with the biggest brands in the world. He doesn't need more money and I don't see the money having affected his decision more than it affects any other players decision to change clubs at different times.
