  1. Messi banned four games for insulting the ref in the qualifiers. Argentina will probably make it anyways, but it could hurt them really bad.
  2. New manager. We've looked immense, probably the best we've looked since 2005. I agree - saw your side play Argentina in a qualifier not long ago and they beat them easily, 3-0....really impressed by a number of the side esp Gabriel Jesus(who was yet to join Man C and looked awesome for a 19 year-old)...people on this site talk about whether Armstrong will make it yet he isn't on the same planet as Jesus who looked a really mature CF for his age. Coutinho scored a great goal too. Then there was Neymar, who ran the show.... Potentially, Brazil looked as good or better than any Brazil side I can remember as far back as 1982 and that side should have won the WC in Spain. Way too early to compare them to any of the winning WC sides, but yes the side does look impressive and especially Gabriel Jesus looked impressive. So was a good thing that we won 4-1 away to Uruguay despite Coutinho and Firmino both having pretty quiet games and that it's more the tactics rather than the players which is doing the job. Still a bit too reliant on Neymar tbh, he ran the show whenever he got the ball last night.
  3. New manager. We've looked immense, probably the best we've looked since 2005. I'm intrigued. You were going forward with the ball, it was weird. Don't think we played particularly well going forward today either. Coutinho and Firmino were quiet. With Gabriel Jesus up top we're much more fluid and there's a lot more movement. Think the score is kinda flattering even if Uruguay were complete shit. New manager. We've looked immense, probably the best we've looked since 2005. 2005 you say? as in before more crushing disappointment at a major tournament? I mean it's always going to be disappointing if Brazil doesn't win it.
  4. Frank Lampardinho hattrick.
  5. New manager. We've looked immense, probably the best we've looked since 2005.
  6. Argentina gets a penalty from nowhere. Either Chile, Argentina or both will be in big trouble in this qualifiers by the end of the night. Brazilian Frank Lampard scores again.
  7. Ma god. Brazilian Frank Lampard with a belter.
  8. Eresdivisie is far better tbh.
  9. The five defensive players right?
  10. MBappe has scored twice today. Kid is goood.
  11. Is that the benchmark now? we need to match or better each huddersfield result. thats the benchmark. We have played one more than them though, so a win would really have helped.
  12. I hope Wes Morgan s***s all over him and breaks his legs in the processes. By the time he tries to tackle him he'll be about 10 yards away from him. No way Wes Morgan or Danny Simpson can defend Neymar.
  13. Unbelievable. Leicester in a CL quarter final. Hope they play Barcelona. Neymar to score 5 past them.
  14. Although this is nowhere near as pathetic as the PSG one though. Obviously not, but Sevilla over 180 minutes is a masterclass of bottling. PSG managed to squeeze in a century's worth in about 8 minutes. True.
  15. Although this is nowhere near as pathetic as the PSG one though.
  16. Pathetic penalty from NZonzi.
  17. You have to learn from the best if you want to become the best.
  18. Ref did the right thing though, not sure what Nasri is pissed at.
  19. Pathetic from Vardy. British players diving as usual
  20. Kante easily one of my favourite players.
  21. Barcelona been dependent of Neymar lately.
  22. He has only started to play well recently, been their best player for the last couple of weeks. But agree that he's been underwhelming for big parts of this season. Not trying to be biased here at all but that must be one of the best individual performances in recent time by anyone. Most of the team looked to have given up except him, and he had Meunier in his pocket since the first minute as well. His workrate had always been great, but never seen him win so many balls in the defensive end as he did. The funny thing about this is that you're saying all of this without trying to be biased. He played very well, but it wasn't a match that reflected the scoreline's suggested quality. It's not even the best individual performance from a Barcelona player in recent years imo. As always your reading comprehension is excellent. Never said it was THE best. However, it's definitely one of the better at least imo considering what was at stake. I'm not alone to believe that either seeing as both Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard and few others have said the same . Also, to say it's not the best individual performance from a Barcelona player is kind of a moot point as well as there's probably only 3 other players in the world that could put in a performance like that and two of them plays for Barcelona. I don't think I've ever seen a player single handedly pull a team to such a comeback. While most players had given up by the time they conceded he was working his socks off to win the ball on the defensive end of the pitch and trying to create. You could see Messi walking about feeling like he'd lost already, and seeing Messis celebration after the Sergi Robertos goal says it all about Neymars performance last night. There's few performances I remember from players on the big stage that have been this good, the only one that comes to mind spontaneuously is that Messi going absolutely crazy against Bayern few years ago in the CL when he Boateng was left for dead. Okay, it's not even one of the best imo. I'd count Suarez in there in terms of performances as well. I dunno, I don't see it. He had some undoubtedly brilliant moments last night, but I feel like the hype over him and over the match it is way OTT, despite the result suggesting that it was this incredible display of football, when to me it wasn't. I'd be the first to laud Barca as well, but the attempts to cheat from Suarez and Neymar, and Messi being a bystander took a lot of the shine off it for me. Fair enough, don't see how the greatest comeback in CL history is too much hype tbh, but that is my opinion. Or how Messi being a bystander means anything to Neymars performance.
