  1. Wasn't he the one that flew in with a push from behind? Thought it was him? Right after the tackle he went after Aguero. How is a push a red card? If you shove an opponent to the ground when the whistle has been blown already, it's a red right?
  2. Calmed his team down? Or did I miss something? Ran onto the pitch after the game and got the players out of the refs way. Thought he showed class.
  3. I thought it looked like he flew into the area and pushed Aguero? You see Chalboah standing over Aguero right after the tackle at least.

  5. Aye should probably have been off as well. Should've been two and two there looking at the images again. Fernandinho and Aguero lost the plot though, very easy reds to give. Thought Chalobah started the little scuffle/brawl there.
  6. That is an absolute horrible tackle from Aguero. But how Chalboah isn't sent off along with Fernandinho and Aguero is ridiculous. Think the ref has been very pro Chelsea today.
  7. Why? Because he's not very good. Their best player last season was he not? Not a world beater, but definitely a very good player.

Was only three years ago he was being coached by Caio at Vitoria. A lot of the PL Brazilians played in the same team or against the some of the players that passed away. See City wearing warm up shirts with Chapecoenses logo. Amazing the support the club and family and friends are getting.
  9. Shelvey is thick. But dummett sending off is ridiculous. Hope we turn this around fast.

Finally some positives news out of all this. Jackson Follman the goalkeeper doesn't seem in need of a second amputation while Neto's father has said that the medical staff has told him his son will recover and could possibly return to football as well. The other two Brazilians (one journalist and one player) are still in intensive care but in stable conditions with Alan the player no longer in risk of tetraplagia. As for the two crew members from Bolivia, they've seemed to have escaped with lesser injuries and should also recover well. This is all still early news and unfortunately it can all change very fast, but for now the news on the six survivors are very positive.

As of right now there's nothing suggesting it was attempting a controlled crash landing. The son of one of the pilot says they didn't stop to re-fuel because of delay while other says it's the way this company operates to save money. Investigations are on the way and we'll know soon enough, nonetheless a very sad day for everyone involved and the community of sports.

Well in theory yes, but he was asking for vectors from the tower so my guess is the darkness meant he had no idea what he had under him as it was in the middle of the night and raining. Also he got a go ahead to land from the tower but the plane just seems to not have made it to the landing strip.

Think it's the same in South America. We'll see what the investigation says. In any case, so many lives lost, so tragic.

Not only that, ramours are that this seems to have happened because this company always ran on the exact amount of fuel needed meaning they always risked their own and their passengers life and disregarded wind and weather. A Colombian has come out saying he sent in papers to sue them last week as he got to know about their ways. Apparently the plane was due to land but because of emergency landing of a bigger plane they had to circulate in the air and instead of telling the truth the pilot (who apparently is a partner of the company, which belongs to a Venezuelan and runs out of Bolivia) kept quiet until last minute when he said they had problems with electricity. Reason for this is that if they land without blaming the loss of electricity they'd get a huge fine which would basically bankrupt this tiny company. I usually wouldn't speculate like this and will wait for final information, but really makes me angry and makes it all more understandable to why it crashed. I really hope all this isn't true and that it was due to problem. Plenty of articles online in Latin American newspapers supporting this and a lot of expert condemning the pilot. Fuel priority is also classed as an emergency, so the pilot is legally supposed to inform ATC of this and even declare a Pan if needs be. If the runway was blocked by another aircraft then that's ridiculously rare and so unlucky for those involved in this awful incident. Whether he did is another thing though.. all will come out once the investigators have checked the black box recordings. Absolutely, but the rumours is that he refused to declare fuel at first as the emergency because that would mean a huge fine as usually that plane would've needed a fuel stop according to regulation. No idea, only what I've read and heard from Latin American news sources. As for the runway being blocked, there was a flight from 'Viva Colombia' that had to make an emergency stop as well due to leakage of fuel from their plane and since it was a larger plane it had priority. Seems like a mixture of bad luck and shameful management if rumours are to be believed. Otherwise some amazing scenes throughout the European football this wednesday night with supports being shown everywhere.

Hope its not true, it just makes things harder for everyone Let's hope it is. I must say it's been beautiful to see the World of Sports and not only football coming together and showing support for what happened. Clubs around the world in different sports showing their support. Shows that it's all more than just a game, that it's all more than just winning or losing.

A little regarding the club: Chapecoense was in Serie D (the League 2 equivalent) in 2009. In 5 years they climbed to the Serie A and then in two years they established themselves as a Serie A team and made the Copa Sudamericana finals (Europa League equivalent) while being 9th in the Serie A in thier third season. They've ascended through the Brazilian league system in no time and were just two days away from making something so remarkable.

Danilo been confirmed dead. His dad received a call an hour ago saying his son was taken to hospital and was doing well...

BBC reporting that another defender Alan Ruschel and two keepers survived. They were together with a crew member and journalist Rafael Henzel the first one to be taken to hospital. In the last hour or so Zamperi Neto was found alive as well and taken to hospital, but now news are coming that one of the keepers, the #1 Danilo has passed away in hospital. These are all unconfirmed reports coming out of Colombian tv. Alan Ruschel is on his way to hospital from the medical clinic to undergo surgeries and was apparently able to call his family and talk to them and seems to be in stable condition according to family members and Colombian TV (so probably the one story that is the most accurate at the moment). The airplane was also refused to fly from Brazil to Colombia directly as it belongs to a Bolivian company according to regulation. So had to do a pit stop in Bolivia before flying off to Colombia. Something that seemed very unclear in the beginning as to why it would land in Bolivia first, but according to regulation and ANAC the Brazilian airplane authority a flight from Bolivia isn't authorized to fly between Brazil and Colombia without landing in Bolivia first.
