  1. Willians pass was a bit wide there.
  2. Was just about to come on and say the same, he looks like a properly nasty piece of work. I'll hate watching him for Spain won't I?
  3. Chelsea just lumping it forward, can't see that working for 90mins.
  4. Chelsea late to line-up before entry Mourinho starting his wars already.
  5. Liverpool are top of the league with John f*cking Flanagan a key part of the back 4, seriously this is getting way overplayed. A class manager would make this team a CL qualifier. The same Jon Flanagan who's looked excellent fo the last 6 months? Excellent? Jumping on the Liverpool-bandwagon. Definitely been their weakest link for many games. He's a good player no doubt considering he sticks to basics and is very young. But I think it's a bit too much calling him excellent.
  6. Can see Chelsea using it quite a lot when attacking. Their only hope is Willian and Ramires speed and hopefully Torres nicking a goal.
  7. Bruce Fuck off. He's as average as they come. Some people actually saying they'd take him here?
  8. Ramires on the right is a very good bet in a game like this. Just like he did against Barcelona when they went through to the final. Not sure about Lampard in the number 10 role though...
  9. Atletico starts with Garcia, Diego and Diego Costa. No Villa, no Arda Turan and no Tiago. (the two latter on the bench)
  10. Zeman would be the pure dream btw. Sure we'd probably stay midtable or so, but at least we'd enjoy every game.
  11. Also Ronaldo looks thinner, maybe we can call him up for the WC http://s2.glbimg.com/fILC0daarI20uBWMr3vhkH3NQuI=/0x32:412x578/300x397/s.glbimg.com/es/ge/f/original/2014/04/22/ronaldo.jpg
  12. Valcke admitting that the full capacity of the stadium in Sao Paulo will be ready last minute and that no test will be done with full capacity. The stadium is supposed to be able to fill 68k+ fans but when it is inaugarated on the 17th of May in a match between Corinthians and Figueirense only 50k will be able to watch the match. Apparently FIFA has sold the full amount of tickets as well for the game so there's no breathing room in case they don't make it This will be glorious.
  13. That's Pards dream team, 9 defensive players, 1 attacking and Shola.
  14. I would imagine CQ's stock will be pretty high after he leads Iran to WC Quarter-finals. But the football he has played (as a manager, as opposed to assistant) will be found boring and uninspiring for Man Utd' support. Quarter-finals. If you guys make it there then you can die in peace with a Liverpool title and Iran to the quarter-finals. Also, didn't he completely fail at Real Madrid?
  15. I'm sorry but people who are talking about Martinez and Bruce should look at the facts. When Bruce left they sold most their players that had helped him like Cattermole, Valencia and Amr Zaki who had scored many goals for Wigan at the time. He surely didn't buy the best, but he had no money and his only outlet was to take risks on SA players like Boselli who failed compeletely. He also had to sell Moses who he bought as well as N'Zogbia who was great. To compare Martinez record with Bruce is harsh, his Wigan team was full of shit, but he still won an FA Cup and played very good football. The day I saw Caldwell try to pass it out on every occasion from the back was the day I knew Martinez liked football.
  16. I can't imagine he'd appreciate having players bought for him, working under Mike Ashley nor having to front the whole damn club in the way AP does. I just don't foresee us ever appointing a manager with any real calibre under the Ashley regime. Put yourself in their shoes. Why would you work, on a very performance based contract, earning less than your peers with less financial support and more general responsibilities due to a clear lack of investment in the club structure when you could wait for another job in a top 11 club? It's such a transient business, that Moyes will be more attractive following a prolonged absence than he is now and he'll end up back at a good club. Spot on unfortunately. Yep, Moyes is a man of values too. Everyone in the game knows what Ashley is now after Keegan and Hughton, someone like Moyes wouldn't go near him even if the money was there. Well Ashley hasn't sacked Pardew for couple of years, so that's the other view of the whole thing. He's stuck with a terrible manager so maybe Moyes will look at it like that.
  17. I thought Hanz was going crazy for real...
  18. Nah, what's madness is to laugh off the choice like you just have. This is Martinez' first big job, he's done absolutely nothing wrong so far but it's still only 1 season. Although I think he looks a better manager than Moyes he's hardly proven it yet. He's done nothing so far? I agree that you can't laugh off choices, but are you seriously trying to tell yourself he's done nothing so far? In his first season he's close to doing what Moyes did as his best during his tenure at Everton. Jesus f***ing Christ. Yeah. It's to early. Just woke up. Sorry about that
