  1. Their manager will know him. Better Roma than the PL I suppose. Probably looking to get another Gervinho but one with a brain. Watching Gervinho for Roma is hilarious - he'll skin 4 people with stepovers and flicks and all that, then he'll trip over a piece of cheese and catch his pants in a fence and everyone will go "silly Gervinho!" He's had a good season for Roma.

    Tito Vilanova - RIP

Terrible news. Scary how fast such a disease can spread.
  3. I hope for the sake of some of the guys on here that Altidore gets a hattrick in the World Cup. Think that group could be more interesting than many are expecting it to be.
  4. All players need to go on that one. Will be interesting to see how Portugal does. Such an inconsistent team.
  5. Posted the article on the other page: http://www.espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1724310/chelsea-jose-mourinho-says-oscar-suffering?cc=5739 I actually feel sorry for him because he was quite average in the Confed, yet people keep playing him when you can see that he's not in shape to play 90 minutes. Don't expect him to start many games for the rest of the season except if they reach the CL final. Can see him playing 2nd half if they need goals against Atletico, think he'll try to play a very similar side on wednesday.
  6. Course he is Is he? I'll admit I don't watch every game they play but the last few I've seen he hasn't been starting Definitely still a starter, usually just brought off without fail. Didn't start against Atletico as it wasn't his type of game but i'd imagine he'll be back in at home. Aye he diiiiid Aye he did what? If you mean started on Tuesday, he certainly didn't, i took him fg He definitely did man Go throw some darts, man. Not the first time that you, against all undeniable evidence, refuse to admit you're wrong He was talking about Oscar I think, Oscar didn't play against Atletico http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view4/1242301/stone-cold-stunner-gif-o.gif So confused, much confused, so doge. Fuck off
  7. Anyone know if Klose is going to start for Germany in the World Cup? Haven't caught them except against Chile where I thought Chile was the better side. Vidal will be crucial for them in this World Cup.
  8. http://www.espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1724310/chelsea-jose-mourinho-says-oscar-suffering?cc=5739 Mourinho article on why Oscar hasn't played that much lately.

  10. Course he is Is he? I'll admit I don't watch every game they play but the last few I've seen he hasn't been starting Started 9 of 11 games in CL and 23 of 32 in the league. Think he's the player that has played most game over the past 2 seasons in Europe. Played something like 80 games over a year. My point wasn't that he hasn't played a lot of games over the season, its that he hasn't started many games lately that I've seen. Also 23 of 32 in the league isn't exactly a lot of games Fair enough, but it's a fitness issue. He played 80 games last season, didn't have a summer holiday because of the Confed so he's been rotated a lot just like the whole team.

Think he's the player that has played most game over the past 2 seasons in Europe. Played something like 80 games over a year. I don't doubt that, I'm just doubting whether your analysis of his game comes from the whole season or purely the last game since everything your saying about both seems to be drawn from one game only. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though so I've thought Chelsea lack genuine creativity all season and I said months back just before/after the West Ham home 0-0 draw that I thought they would drop points to organised sides because they lack genuine creativity and a striker. This applies to Oscar as much as it does Willian. I do admit i'm a tad biased, since his Madrid stint i've scrutinised Mourinho's every move and I was a Mata fanboy. Oh absolutely, I do agree with you but I think it's more down to Mourinho tactics than the players. Hazard for all the praise he gets has only scored two goals more than Oscar form open play despite playing 700 more minutes in the PL this season. It also speaks volume that Chelsea has won more points with Willian on the pitch than any other player (bar Ashley Cole, but he's played like 10 games or so in PL). If there's anything wrong with Chelsea it's that Schurrle hasn't started more games up top. Dickface.
  12. Yeah Coutinho has been excellent of late. 2nd spring in a row that he's been very very good. But I think the problem with Coutinho is that Scolari just doesn't rate him that highly. He's way too inconsistent compared to the others and his stamina is crazily bad. I don't know if he's a smoker or something but he doesn't have the heart to play the high pressure game that Brazil employs a la Atletico Madrid. Will Willian go? I honestly don't get that no one seems to rate him on here. I really like him as player. Very good for transitioning defence to attack. Works hard, pacey. Think he's mint personally It's basically just _01 that doesn't rate him. Definitely a few others.
  13. http://globoesporte.globo.com/futebol/copa-do-mundo/playerlist.html Here you can see how you pronounce some the names in their original language. The Algerian and Greek team have definitely the hardest names to pronounce.
  14. I don't doubt that, I'm just doubting whether your analysis of his game comes from the whole season or purely the last game since everything your saying about both seems to be drawn from one game only. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though so Just looking around a bit in the teams buildup to the World Cup and see England having three friendlies set up before the World Cup, Brazil playing two, Colombia playing only one by the looks of it, Argentina will play two as well. Think Englands plans are excellent playing Peru, Ecuador and Honduras as warm up. Three teams that will run a lot and hit a lot. Will be a great test to get into World Cup mode, unless those teams take it at 35%.
  15. Tactically (under Mourinho) they are similar. They'll work hard defensively but burst forward with pace and strength on the counter and can do so for 90 minutes easily. Similarly, when presented with a deep defence they'll both struggle to create going forward. And for Mourinho - they have to do both. Willian movement and ability to keep possession creates a lot of space for other players to score. Ramires runs from deep and I agree that in deep defences he's not the best player to start with as he's technically very limited. However, Willian is technically excellent, has excellent vision and accuracy. He also moves a lot. You're being overly harsh on Willian and seems to me your drawing conclusion from the Atletico game purely. He wasn't bought to score goals like Robben, he was bought to make sure the team score goals. He never scored many in Shaktar is I'm not mistaken.
  16. More than Willian, no chance. Two completely different players though. Ramires and Paulinho are two comparable players. Willian is a completely different type. Would be like comparing Sissoko to Ben Arfa. Only Pardew can do that.
  17. No doubt I prefer Paulinho to start and Scolari does too, I think Paulinho can be a great midfielder while Ramires is very limited in many areas. The good thing is that he can come in and offer a lot of different dimensions to the game. He's fast, he can break on the counter from deep, he wins balls and puts in tackles and gets into the box at the right time.
  18. They're nothing a like man Seriously, there's zero about them that is equal except both work hard but still in two completely different ways.
  19. The same way Brazil struggled to break down Italy and Spain with Hulk, Paulinho and Luiz Gustavo in the team you say? Here in Europe people rate Hulk so much, but he's been poor every single time for the national team, I'd start Willian, Ramires or Lucas in Hulks place every single day of the week.

Think he's mint personally Yeah Willian, Ramires, Paulinho and Oscar were confirmed by Scolari along with Julio Cesar, David Luiz, Thiago Silva and Fred unless injuries or something else happens to them. I agree with you, but on here players like him, Ramires, Oscar have all been called garbage, while Chelsea and Brazilian fans adore them.

  22. Ask the Chelsea fans what they think about Willian and many will say that at the beginning they were questioning his £30m tag. If anything he's starting to put Oscar out of the side. Lucas is not even close to being on the same level as Willian. Willian isn't a spectacular player per se, but he'll run his socks of while having excellent technique and intelligence. He's just let down by the fact that he doesn't take any risks in the final third and rarely shoots so those who don't want Chelsea much won't find him that good of a player. He works hard though, and if we need a player to control the game we'll have three with Oscar, Willian and Neymar on the field as well as having some speed. I'd have Lucas over Bernard, but Bernard is Scolari's puppet so doubt we'll see that. I'd probably take Coutinho over both though.
  23. Why in the name of god would you pick Everton of all teams?
