Thought it was the correct decision actually at that point. Tiote is stronger defensively than Anita and that's what we needed at that time just to see out the game. Thought Tiote did ok when he came on and that's a role I'd be happy for him to continue as rather than starting every game. Disagree completely that Tiote is better defensively, he's just more noticeable because he charges around like a bull. Anita reads the game well and is decent in a tackle as well. Bit of a general comment but the term defensive/defensively is used really simplistically these days. For example, one player might be better in the tackle but a good defensive midfielder - above all else - is excellent in possession. It's obviously a massive cliche but the best form of defense is attack; you can't concede if you've got the ball. That's why Anita is, by a million miles, a better 'defensive midfielder' than Tiote is. Jonas is better as well, tbh. I just don't know what Tiote brings to the team these days. When we signed him he was the 'defensive midfielder we've lacked for years', but that was because, aside from the novelty of having someone there with a bit of bluster, he retained possession extremely well. But nowadays he's absolutely useless in the final third and a massive risk when played deeper cos he loses the ball a lot. Completely agree, tbh Tiote's best role for me what he was used at Twente before we signed him. Sub and bring him on towards the end to kill what ever momentum the opposition has to make sure we get the win. ( i.e. what we did yesterday) You watched a lot of him for Twente then I guess?

I just felt he was dangerously close to losing the ball couple of times especially when he started dwelling on the ball like he always does at a moment there.

    This is unnecessarily awful.

Watch this guy get moved to the bench. Jonas on the left and a non-working, non-existent 4-4-2 next weekend.
  5. Anyone who has seen Hull this season? Only saw the 2nd half v City and they looked decent.

That's probably how everyone feels. If we can play like we did yeserday but with a bit of improvement along the way we'll have a decent season. He's still a fraud and liar, and I expect another useless excuse in our next loss.

What in the hell are you talking about? Seriously, when you figure it out, I'd appreciate if you could explain that to me As for Pardew, he is getting tons of love for doing what was obvious to 99% of this forum. It's unbelievable how people are ready to forgive him already after putting us through what he did last season and just two weeks ago before the Fulham game. Cabaye refusal to play forced him to see what Anita is capable of, lets just wait until Titoe is fit and back into the team.
  8. Don't know if it's been mentioned but Luiz Gustavo was sent off today again. 2nd time in his first 4 games for Wolfsburg. Hope he doesn't do this shit for Brazil.
  9. Real looks terrible, and Bale hasn't really looked any good. Still hope he scores a hattrick so I win £150.

I still think Aston Villa will struggle this year. Their squad is thin and bunch of young ones. They are extremely inconsistent as well. Fair play to us though, a lot down to Remy 's danger on the left.

We definitely were the better side, but I think they had far more than only 10minutes. In any case, 3p won, Haris Vukcic (the poster) is a professional footballer so we should all be happy and grateful.

Have you ever played at a decent level?
  13. Get Thiago Silva and David Luiz
  14. Best player in the world, but was absolute horseshit until that play and that's why I always say we shouldn't ever sub Ben Arfa out. These players can be horrible for 92 minutes but capable of producing magic. Bit harsh, he scored a goal and had a couple of things that didn't quite come off. Agree in general though. Yeah, but was more referring to his ability rather than others. Nowhere near his standard and looked disinterested for a big part. His goal was also a tap in basically. Have a bet on Bale hattrick now. £5 returns £150.

  16. The latter easily. Neymar will soon be above Ronaldo He's seriously been very good for Barcelona especially today and against Malaga when he came on and he's not even 100% fit yet.
  17. Neymar absolutely killing on that left flank. MBia should've been off already
  18. You speaking spanish with an irish accent. Been told my accent is pretty good actually, really try my best to sound like a complete homo which is the trick.
  19. He is though, and he's a very good one too. He's not he's a s*** one, now he is a very good holding playing, sitting in front of the back 4 type. But as a defender he is a terrible marker, has awful positioning and has mental moments that make Tiote look like a nun. Don't agree except the mental parts. He looks lost in front of the back four and his athleticism and footballing ability makes up for every thing else. He's an excellent defender when he doesn't have his brain lapses.
  20. Same happened at SJP. Refs are morons.
