  1. He can seriously be the difference between a title challenge and a European football place challenge. I still think they are a striker lite for a title challenge, but it's a big push forward for them (Ozil signing). When will Giroud get some love, 4 in 5 this season already. I really like him, he always gets into scoring positions.
  2. He can seriously be the difference between a title challenge and a European football place challenge. Nah True, I forgot he's no Anderson.

  4. Who was? As far as i'm concerned Van Persie was but it seems quite a debatable subject. But Van Persie is 30. They can get another 6 years of play time and shirt sales out of Bale, so he's worth more even if he's not a better player. So his age warrants him going for a world record fee? I'm just saying he's no Messi or even CRonaldo in this case, which makes it all really weird in my opinion and I wouldn't pay over £40-45m for him. No way.
  5. Who was? For me van Persie won Man U the title, and I'd find it harder to debate whether RvP or Suarez was the best rather than RvP or Bale. That's just my opinion though, and tbf I watched far more Man U and Liverpool than Spurs last season.
  6. I still can't get my head around Bale being the most expensive of all time. IMO he wasn't even the best player in the PL.
  7. I hope Julio leaves tomorrow or Brazil is going to have another 1st goalkeeper at the World Cup.
  8. Still, best to keep him at right back.
  9. Messi missed again. Neymar been serving him on a gold plate tonight even if he's not having a very good game tbf.
  10. You won't Neymar 2nd half hattrick
  11. No he isn't he just struggles to perform twice a week anymore.... Also how is the Busquets-Cesc-Iniesta trio working out so far? I must say i feel its not something that can work long term but Valencia are a decent team. I think that trio could work excellently long-term. As for Cesc I think it's a valid complaint for VI. He play there quite a bit and has never worked. Let's say he's played the 10 season over 1 year, that's quite a lot. (counting national team as well btw)
  12. In other news, Pato ahs scored twice for Corinthians. 7th league goal in the last 10 league games.
  13. I love Cesc. He should be starting there and not as a false 9 for Spain. Xavi is done. And I prefer Pedro 10x over Sanchez.
  14. Hattrick Messi. Great play by the whole team there.
  15. Messi twice now. Excellent player. Fabregas is so much better than Xavi too.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

My only complaint as well. He looked like a team player yesterday defensively as well. Sometimes I just hope it's the lack of movement rather than anything else since he was releasing the ball well when he came on against Morecambe.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Harsh, he's just obviously an addict.
  18. Krul Debuchy MYM Colo Santon Ben Arfa Sissoko Cabaye Gouffran Cisse Remy Shame to waste Gouffran as a winger in a 4-4-2 like, but he's probably the best we've got for that position at the moment. Was playing more in front though, didn't have to do much defensively when he came on.

    Loïc Remy

Do we have a buy out clause?
  20. The only reason i realised he was playing was because Gary Birtles kept saying how much we could do with someone like him..... This was doing my f***ing body in, literally. Haven't hated a player as much as Parker during 06/07. I quite liked Parker, but even if you didn't, surely the likes of Smith, Owen, Butt, Duff are miles ahead of Parker in the hateometer? Parker was a very good player for us.
  21. Think we don't need a target man. Remy is a strong and tall lad. No target man per se, but could do the job as the striker linking midfield and attack with his linkup and holdup ability. I disagree, while Pardew is the manager we do need a target man, if only to keep Ameobi off the team sheet. Aye, with Pardew you never know.
  22. He wasn't great, but his ability to be more direct rather than play the simple game suited us better when looking for the full points yesterday. It's his ability to pick out passes across the pitch and understand the others movement that helped us. Gouffran was once again very dangerous when he came on, but seems to be lacking confidence to get that goal. "All our subs have been excellent." Getting ahead of yourself yesterday, were you? There's a difference in my head in being great individually and having subs being excellent by impacting the game in a way that brought us three points. So, I'll keep to that opinion.
