  1. This is what European football is all about. Howay the lads!
  2. out to eat some oldtype food and then back to the game. Hoping for a great win tonight!
  3. Robben yes, Ribery he will hold on to. Ribery is a class player who works his socks off.
  4. Two good endings to game coming up now.
  5. Exactly my point though, their rebuilding means they're not a very good side at the moment. That's not harsh that's the truth. For a team to sell their two best players that they were highly dependant on in even winning games and now they're third because of a recent surge in form since they signed Balo. (and the Italian league is piss poor apart from Juve) Let's be honest here, 4-0 win against Milan was around the distance between quality in both sides, and I actually had a 5-0 for Barca win written down pre-match. I have no doubt Milan have a bright future, but their struggles in the group stages reflect their quality right now.
  6. That 7-1 win against Leverkusen was also class. Given the circumstances it might have been their best game in the CL in a long long time, but they've played some excellent football early on in this season against teams like Malaga and Bilbao. I just don't rate Milan at all, mediocre coach with average players.
  7. Fair enough that you won and played well, but is it really the best game since 2010-2011 season? I've seen Barcelona play some extremely good games over the years and let's be honest, Milan proved yesterday that they are nowhere near a team good enough for the CL. As for Tito being back soon. I love Roura man, he's never ever going to be a manager Hilarious how he sits there and just looks so awkward.
  8. Just saw Gremio were up 1-0 away to Caracas in the Libertadores, and decided to check their squad. Couple of old players in there Dida Fabio Aurelio (ex-Liverpool) Andre Santos Cris (ex-Lyon, anti-Shola, Cacapa partnership' Elano Ze Roberto (ex-Bayern Munich) They also have the ex-Real Madrid manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo as coach and recently sold Gilberto Silva.
  9. He isn't, but he is also much much better than CRonaldo
  10. Anita would have been bullied out of it yesterday, he wouldn't have made any clinical incisive passing, wouldn't have won the ball high up the pitch. Probs wouldn't have given away a pen either but there you go. Wasn't saying Tiote had a bad game, but Anita wouldn't have been bullied nowhere near man. Taylor and MBiwa were good enough yesterday to show that they could win headers against Walters and Crouch. Anita in midfield gives us more movement in creating offensive outlets. And as I said, if Tiote reverts back to basics he should be starting every game no doubt in my mind.
  11. Good grief. He's been fine for a while, if a little hot-headed at times. Made a mistake yesterday, that's all. A mistake. He's not the devil because he gave away a pen. I don't think he's been fine all season tbh, bar one good game. I just think he's a total liability and would rather he left than stayed. Tbf to Cheik his season has been terrible, but just like the rest of the team he has been battling injuries and has upped himself the last month or so.

Like ive said, I think they probably wont (unfortunately)- the point is thosas someone else said its going to be fun watching the meltdowns as nobody can argue they are going close with thier form, and up coming fixtures. If they lose to Norwich I might actually put money on them going down. That might be the most important game for them this season. If they lose they have a tough schedule and I can see morale being down against us as they could probably come into derby day with 3 straight losses and nine without 3points (if they lose to Norwich obviously). Then they would have to play Everton, then Villa who by that time will probably be playing for staying up. That said, a loss to Norwich could mean a meltdown and no win until their Stoke game at home and we all know how hard Stoke and Southampton are. Basically a loss to Norwich and their season is in a great deal of danger in my opinion. They have some quality/decent players, but as for footballing mentality, they're like us a bit. They have none
  13. I think Ronaldo has been spot on about Tiote. He should just revert back to basics or not start against teams like Stoke at all. His best games comes against the better teams and maybe Anita would've been better against a team like Stoke. Tiote didn't have a bad game yesterday though, he was actually good until that tackle, which is always a risk when he's on the field.
  14. Been better since the january transfer window closed, nowhere good enough to start though when Hatem is back.
  15. I'm still not sure with him playing that behind the striker role though, obviously he has done well, but for most part yesterday he was at his best when coming from deep with the ball. Exactly like Yaya. At times he plays as a 2nd forward a la Nolan and I'm not sure that's his best position even if he has had couple of good games there. I just think he is playing to high up while Cisse is playing to far down the pitch. If we could push Cisse to play off the last defender that would create enormous space for Sissoko to play that box-to-box role that I think he's more suited for. As for him as a player, £1.8m What a bargain.

    Alan Pardew

I think creatively we are too dependant on Ben Arfa, which is what irks me greatly about Pardew. Seems unable to make the team play attractive football and our only creativity comes from individual brilliances (like Marvs pass today).
  17. We better win this Pards. Only thing we have left going for us this season now that relegations loos very unlikely (knock on wood).
  18. Ferdinand should've been off. What a prick Rio is.
