Depends who you listen to..... is he great player? yes is he top 4 or 5 in the world like media go on? no. He's certainly not in the top two like they go on but top 5? I'm struggling to think of many better. Yep. I can think of 5 from Barca and Madrid alone who is better, maybe in current form but current form is relative. Who? Iniesta, Messi, CRonaldo, Özil and Benzema are better players man. Seriously. In form Bale might be a top 5 player in the world, but then Mandzukic is a top 20 player. Doesn't work like that.

Is Bale better than Suarez? I'm struggling too see it tbh. I do understand that at the moment he has been brilliant, but no one has been as consistent as Suarez during this season. Bale is just having an excellent start to 2013 but it's not like he has been excellent all season tbf.

But he didn't lose the ball and his first 15minutes weren't very good I agree. But he had an excellent game from that point onwards, was all over the pitch winning the ball. Definitely his best game this season for us.

We have a team to be comfortably a top 10 side. Pardew sets us out negatively every game. If he can change that and try to be more brave, maybe the way the season has panned out has forced his hands to play more cautiously, but I still think we did that plenty last season. I hope when HBA is back that he will set his team to go and win games and attack from the off. It's not in his nature, but if he can learn from his mistakes which he is very slow at learning from then he can definitely bring success to our squad, but it hinges on him changing his footballing mentality.

No disrespect to Taylor either but he and Colo are quite easily a level above him. It's their footballing ability. Taylor is a good defender but limited footballer. They're both very good defenders and footballers.

Look we can play great stuff, there's no doubt about that. But every single game we are set up to defend from the off to then let the game settle and the go on to try and win. Pardew has admitted to this before of trying to get at teams after 15 minutes. He's afraid, something a manager shouldn't be with the player at his disposal. Why let the game settle when you have a goalie making PL debut? To test him?
