  1. If this isn't a 4-3-3 with Ba on the left I can't see us winning. If Jonas is anything other than playing as a box-to-box or DM or w/e you want to call his position I will be pissed. Can't stand him as a winger.
  2. Ronaldinho was amazing. Showpony, the man was so entertaining, I would watch him in his prime over Messi all day cause he would do some amazing stuff. But aye, if his prime lasted for more than 2 season then yeah maybe he would've been there. Thing is he still oozes some type of class but is so slow it pisses me off.
  3. It is completely contradictory. To an idiot aye... Easy man It kinda is, I do get your points but you got to understand though that what you are saying is that teams were more offensive back then hence it was easier to score goals. I know what you mean, but it does contradict what you were arguing against.
  4. Vidic, Silva, Ferdinand must in a way be up there. But still not with the absolute best.
  5. It is completely contradictory. I catch your drift, but Pele did stuff no one had ever done before in terms of skill. Messi has invented shit.
  6. I do understand you mean now HTT, but it's still contradicting in a way.
  7. So how would your back four look like then?
  8. Zanetti. Nesta. No. Baresi, Maldini were both better than him tbh.
  9. Palnese thought you were going to say Anderson...
  10. So they had Paglicua, Zanetti and Ronaldo? Taribo West ffs. Djorkaeff was to be honest. But he was french. And in those days no one liked the french.
  11. HTT just thinks it was harder to score then, damn the facts and evidence, man. His arguments are as cloudy as yours though tbf. Arguing that CRonaldo would be among the absolute best ever. Oh god. I talk about statistics and I back what I say with facts. This Ronaldo is insanely good, there's no doubt about it. No team in the world can stop him from doing his thing, it's just that his thing isn't as effective as Messi's thing, but it's more effective than anyone else's in the past twenty years, when you take into account how long he has done it for. You don't back up you're stats though do you. I told you to check out the amount of goalscored in the La Liga back then and you will see its not that different to today as you try to make it out as. It's on the international scene, where Messi doesn't excel anyways that it really has changed A LOT!

  13. Aye HTT I don't know what you are going on about However, brah, go check out the league table from La Liga from 58/59. Check the goal amounts and compare to today. It's not a massive difference.

  15. Nah as he's not even the best Ronaldo of the last 15 years. I was checking some of his stats last night and they're really bloody insane. I was unfortunately too young to appreciate his PSV/Barca years when they were happening so all I have to go off are videos and compilations which I've watched and rewatched. But f***ing hell man. What a player in all regards of his game. I know you're a particularly big fan of his, would you say he's underrated in the general context of players of the past 30-40 years? I still think he's unfairly tainted because of his more turbulent later years. Another one whose career was littered with bad advice and was corrupted by his advisers. How was his career littered with bad advice?
  16. That still doesn't make sense to your original argument HTT.
  17. Really isn't though is it? CRonaldo has came top 4 in three big tournaments. Messi has in zero. Does the 2007 Copa America not count then? Aye true, it's just that Brazil won that with Robinho being the player of the tournament along with players like Josue, Julio Baptista and Vagner Love ffs. I actually forgot that. Fair enough, 3 to 1. You're talking team achievements here anyway. Apart from those 3 clutch goals in 2 games at the last Euros he's regularly disappointed at major tournaments in the same way Messi has. In terms of performances I'd say Messi had a superior World Cup in 2010 and even in 2006 when he was a kid. Messi played what, a maximum of 100minutes in the 2006 world cup? 1 start man. I'm not saying CRonaldo has been good in international tournament, I just don't agree that Messi has been better. His time will come at major tournaments anyway Unfortunately it will, there is no doubt in my mind that he and Argentina will take the piss out of everyone in Brazil. IN BRAZIL! Fuck me. Messi will piss all over Brazil and Pele too...
  18. Doesn't matter if he was, not sure if that's right, but Ganso had 3 and was absolute garbage for like 3 out of 4 games.

    Papiss Cissé

I'm expecting another West Ham or Swansea at home performance, but somewhere inside I think we might see another Cisse v Chelsea performance. It all depends whether Willo starts or not.
  22. I love Cavani man, he can play across a front 3, he's not a pure striker although he does play it very well. Think it was last season in the CL him and Lavezzi never stopped running against Chelsea. Amazing stamina both of them.
