  1. Need to get that goaldifference back to normal and this is where it should happen!

    Papiss Cissé

Needs a goal today. If he can score today I can really see him scoring against Fulham and going on a rampage.
  3. could give a toss about them plums in the stadium, shouting shoot all the time, clueless. f***ing hell. Can't stand posts like this. I agree, in the end they're the ones paying the money to watch this so they're entitled to shout wtf they want, even though it is annoying as hell as Tiote really listens to the fans
  4. Playing well, I'm liking the look of Anita too, but Marveaux doesn't do anything wrong. If Tiote could only play like Marveaux we would be so much better off.
  5. WHY DOES TIOTE ALWAYS HAVE TO SHOOT? Pisses me off, and the fans scream shoot all the time.
  6. They are rightfully pissed man. It was a 50/50 challenge which Figueroa not only came first to but also won.
  7. So fucking ridiculous. Never a red never a penalty. Fucking refs these days. At least karma is being decent to us after wrongfully disallowed goals against Man U and West Ham.
  8. Just looked at the table. 5p behind 12th? We do need a win today and next week. Lets make Monday nights something of a winning habit.
  9. '66 World Cup is the evidence of that. The guy was basically raped on the field for 2 games.
  10. Dont mean HAVING MORE COMPETITION, what I mean is that the level difference between Pele and his competition were in my opinion further than Messi and his competition. Anyways Unfortunately this is true, its still fun to discuss this topic though because everyone has such a different opinion.
  11. The only people that thought that was the people that based the best player on goals. The only way CR compares to Messi is goals the rest of his game isn't close to Messi and hasn't been for a very long time. Even the year CR won the Balon D'or the last 6 months of that year Messi was better. No doubt, for me Messi has been a level ahead of anyone. But is anyone of today in the same level as Eusebio, Di Stefano, Garrincha, George Best (apart from Messi) ? I wouldn't think so.
  12. No obviously not what I mean. I'm going by natural talent. I explained it over 1000s posts again, but that's definitely not what I meant. I mean that Pele maximised the ability at the time. Obviously if you put Pele of back then into a game today he wouldn't be close to what Messi is, however, if he was given the same circumstances as Messi I think he would develop into a better player.
  13. Based on the fact that he outperformed the best from Europe and South America time after time during a 12 year spell. The fact that he beat teams singlehandedly scoring goals against the best european club teams at the time and outplaying the best defenders in the World at the time. Pele was a level ahead of everyone back then and there was no doubt about it. Today there might be no doubt about Messi being the best but until a year ago CRonaldo was touted as someone who was as good as Messi. But yeah, those rose tinted glasses. Well done mate, play that card.
  14. Wow, speechless. Directed at the tiresome 'defending your fellow countryman' post.
  15. Absolutely, I just think that the sport has evolved and therefore you can't put Pele into todays game with the way he played back then. I think to measure to best ever you have too look on natural talent and I believe Pele had more. Pele was further ahead of more competition than Messi has.
  16. I'm not sure how you can claim Pele made players better, I remember him playing with some fantastic players for Brazil and can't see how such a claim can be made. Garrincha, Carlos Alberto, Gerson, Jairzinho and Rivellino were fantastic players and I don't think Pele did anything to make those players look any better other than being another good player to play with. I would argue that playing in Spain today is a lot more difficult than is was to play in Brazil when Pele was playing. Also, International football is much more competitive today than it was back in the 60's and 70's. Look at the make-up of the qualified teams back then to now, it was almost entirely South America v Europe. Like it or not, football is now a global sport and it’s a sport which on a competitive basis hardly bares any resemblance to the game 40 to 50 years ago. Hhonestly, naming the players Pele played with at the end of his career for ONE WORLD CUP as well as Garrincha isn't really relevant, since his career was longer than the 70s World Cup. I would also argue that it was MUCH MUCH HARDER to play football back then, you didn't have the protections from refs, the opposition supporters were much more hostile and football was a global sport back then too as todays football is still South America v Europe. It's not like it was the stone age man. And also if anything the Club World Cup meant more back then than the Champions League did.
  17. You DON'T see how it had can be argued against? I respect those that believe that Messi is the best ever, but there are millions of reasons why to argue against. Not saying he ISN'T even if I believe he isn't, I'm just saying there are many arguments to why people wouldn't think of Messi as the best ever. What has he ever achieved outside of Barcelona? That is one argument, not talking clublevel here, why move if you are winning everything, but I'm talking with Argentina? How come he can't ever impose his qualities when it comes down to it? Friendlys sure, scoring three against a Olympic Brazilian side isn't really anything to brag about. My reasons for preferring Pele over Messi is that both were quality players, but what makes Pele a player above is that he made everyone around him better. Messi just doesn't do that which you can see with the national side, if anything the players in Barcelona makes him better. I do respect everyones opinions and I do see why many rate Messi as the best ever, but at the moment Pele IMO still is, but who knows in 10 years?
  18. Just saw this through Sewellys sig. Fucking hell. I'm crying with laughter. Stewarts.
  19. Do you always post this or do is it a coincidence that the only posts of you that I see are the ones where you mention him. It's scary. Like you know I will be seeing your post.
  20. is Frence. Fucking hell. I lol'd.
  21. Not really. Very average tbh. Still like him though for some odd reason.
  22. Flip

    Papiss Cissé

He is class. I haven't seen a single whining from him even after being moved out left in couple of games. He gets on with his life, Ba should've acted in the same way last season. Although Ba wearing Orlando Magic cap makes him awesome anyways.
  23. He's gonna be great. Shame he's got plucked eyebrows and daft hair. What happened to wonderkids who weren't metrosexuals? See this is probably half the reason I have always loved Messi. Dont really get that post I mean they do look daft and so on, no doubt, Neymar, El Sharaawy all these guys. But then you mention Messi? The guy who looked like a little chubby girl in a way until a year ago or so?
