  1. Signs for them today for about £1.7 million + add ons. Thats such a bad choice of club to go to for a young British footballer. Liverpool's record over the last 10 years of developing youth players, especially British ones, is terrible. I'd go as far as to say its worse than ours. In fact, I can't think of ANY who have stepped up to Premiership level. Stevie Geeeee Danny Guthrie? Who?
  2. Crazy but I think the reason for this is that he is going to take over the national side after the World Cup. He's done an excellent job if you look at his squad. Ancelotti wouldn't have done that well had he been without Kaka and Pato. Dunga leaving is he? He's done ok at Milan if they get in the Champs Lge but whoever goes in there next has a monumental job on their hands as they need a new team give or take a couple of players. Leonardo obviously not thought to be up to doing that job. Well I expect Dunga to win the World Cup and leave on a high like all other managers have done. Whatever happens i doubt Dunga will stay on. In Brazil a manager usually doesn't stay longer than over a World Cup. And Leonardo would do a great job in the national side. And Leonardo has done an excellent job. Tell me, do you sincerely believe Ancelotti would do better with that team? I mean when he had a healthy Pato, Nesta and a Kaka in the team he didn't manage to get closeer than what Leonardo has done. Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, are all past theirs, though Ambrosini has been better than what i though he would be.

  4. If we managed to get a defensive midfielder, right back, Dorrans and Carlton Cole i'd be over the moon, but now that won't happen so lets try and sign some baddie just like Leon Best.
  5. £2.5million should be enough.
  6. ...according to tribalfootball an exchange with Taylor has been mooted.
  7. Come on she looks dirty, whats up with that. Take a weekend trip to Sweden and you'll find plenty of girls who will do it for a glass of wine or two. Was it really a second yellow for Toulalan?
  8. Was thinking exactly the same thing.
  9. It was malicious. I get the impression it wasn't on purpose. I get more the impression that it was a bad tackle but not on purpose, if you get it. I dont see that it was all about trying to break the other guys leg as the tackle might as well have done.
  10. Deserved red. Bad week for Ribery i guess, first told he has had sex with underaged girl and now a red card. Doubt it was a malicious tackle, however well deserved considering it was a really shocking tackle.
  11. Ref was pisspoor but for both sides. And that Inter side is hell of a battling side. But i reckon Messi will turn it around in Barcelona and win it 3-0 for Barca. Edit: I know they only need to win 2-0 but I believe Messi will score a hattrick.
  12. What a play by Messi and Dani Alves. Almost a goal by Alves with an overheadkick
  13. put 1 euro on us winning 3-1, looking ok right now, can win 23.
  14. Mourinho is the better manager of the two (between him and Ancelotti). Ancelotti's Milan must have been one of the most boring teams ever, and hey i support Milan, but the job done by Leonardo this season is incredible (even though hes made Ronaldinho untouchable). I mean a team full of old players and couple of young players and the best player (Pato) injured for a long time and they're still there making a run at the title even though it took a hit this weekend. Milan plays a much more attractive football and this with players like Ambrosini and Pirlo on the field. However, I dont deny that Ancelotti has been good, but during his good years Kaka was instoppable, Nesta stopped everything, Pirlo was at his prime and so was Gattuso. It is impossible to compare Ancelotti's squad to the reduced and old one Leonardo has now. Best manager in the world is Scolari though (biased? i dont think so )
  15. Crazy that we have only let in 28 goals this season in 39 matches. That is quite a remarkable feat, to bad it won't show in the Premiership next season when Drogba and Rooney scores 5 past us in two matches each.
  16. If this is true, I can't see why he is supposed to be allowed to play for us ever again. Sure you could argue that Barton has done the same kind of things, but never to one of his own teammates (atleast not at our club). Carroll might be our second most inform striker at the moment, but hell, I'd rather give Ranger a chance than play a guy who has fallen so low to break the jaw of a teammate at the training ground. Clubs and manager need to take stronger measure at this type of stuff, even in our society this is happening to often. Its ridiculous. If these stories are true, kick him out. He's not that good anyways...
  17. I'm not sure about that. When Maradona went to Napoli were'nt they a nothing team? And then they retired the number 10 after he left because of how much they loved him. Napoli wasn't really a nothing team, and while Maradona deserves the praise he gets, Careca is always forgotten, and he was one of the main reasons why Napoli was able to compete at such a high level for many years. Him and Maradona were unstoppable. Also Napoli had finished third couple years before Maradona joined them.
  18. Well, in the end the answer to this question depends where you are from. I mean I would argue that Pele, Garrincha and Zico are the best player of all time. But at the same time I understand why Di Stefano, Cruyff, Maradona, Beckenbauer are mentioned as the best of all time. I just feel it's to early to say Messi is the better than Zidane and Ronaldo, I mean don't forget that Henry was as unstoppable as Messi is nowadays when Arsenal went undefeated for a whole season.
  19. The best player in the world right now is without a doubt Messi. But to compare him to Ronaldo (original one) and Zidane is in my opinion wrong. Both of them performed at a high level for many years, especially Ronaldo who after all came back from a two year injury and won a world cup and also scored 8 goals in a world cup something tha thdnt been achieved for a long long time. Another thing that is ridiculous is to say that football in the 50's,60's,70's is much worse than football nowadays and that therefore a player like Pele cannot be considered the best of all time. Don't forget that Pele at the age of 17 was the best in the world and at the age of 30 was still the best in the world. Dont forget that players treated him brutally every single match and they had no way of stopping him. The same goes for Garrincha, people talk about Maradona winning the world cup all on his own, can someone tell me what Garrincha did in 62 in Chile? I remember seeing not long ago a documentary on the 58' world cup and the swedish leftback saying that Garrincha could only do one dribble and that he knew exactly how to stop him, and after all that talk, Garrincha did the same dribble and passed into Vava to score for Brazil. I sincerely hope Messi will become the best player I've ever seen, but he will need to produce at the same level for another 4-5 years, which I to be honest dont doubt hell do. He's a great player, and I've always rated him higher than CRonaldo.
  20. Are you taking into account that they also have the most complete striker in the world and the modern day Zidane playing for them? Who the fuck is the modern day Zidane if i may ask, there's no one on that team that is the modern day Zidane.
