Martins, Jonas and Viduka tried to create but you could see Jonas was tired at the end, he was suffering from cramp and lost some pace. Shearer needs to take blame, but i was surprised with the fact that Smith can play those longballs outwide actually comin to a player, not like but who kicks it out for a f***** throw every single time!

I'm sorry, but theres no way he feigned the injury. I think Shearer is disappointed with the fact that he didn't go with the squad and had a fitness test, and that it was unprofessional but i seriously doubt that he feigned an injury, Martins loves this club and hes stated it time after time. I jut think it was pure unprofessionalism from his part, but we'll see him on the bench.

Who replaced Martins then, in your opinion? Duff Surely you just play Duff in Martins' position then? Lunacy to change the entire shape of the team when Duff has played just off the striker numerous times throughout his career and is probably at his most effective there. True, but who knows, i dont even know what tactic we played today, first half was crazy. Beye went up as fullback sometimes but defended as central defender, Bassong defended as fullback but never got forward. ' And I'm f***** proud we have a player like Bassong in our ranks, cause this kid is so secure with the ball and can play out of difficult positions and rarely loses a header.

People will disagree, but Butt although worst player in the team hes vital for this team, and why? Well cause no other midfielder can defend, Guthrie cant play the holding position, Nolan aint a footballer and Barton isnt fit. So he will start week in week out for the remainder of the season except if Shearer tries to play Colo and midfield during training and it suceeds.

I'm with you. Nolan slow and cant pass forward, his best attributes trying to jump, which even that he fails.

Everyone is praising Carrol, but hey how about Jonas, when he got in the team changed completely. Nolan started to play better and even Duff was decent when Jonas came on. But yes Carrol needs to start next match, and hopefully with Martins upfront. Owen is offering nothing at the moment, should move him just behind these two. SHould go gung-ho style. I understand him dropping Colo, but Jonas dropped and christ almighty Shola starting? Shola seriously has to be putting in some great training performance because its not possible that even Shearer believes in him.
