  1. Wouldn't surprise me if we were struggling in relegation territory with all the other injures/lack of a squad etc...
  2. Clarification needed, what do the results have to do with Ben Arfa's recovery time?
  3. 11 goals for West Ham in their last three games (1 FA cup), keep that run up and they're well out of trouble.

What else could he have done? Apart from start Taylor right wing which is much the muchness. At least it wouldn't have broken up a previously settled back four that had not done much wrong.
  5. The worst of this is, if we don't at least equalise we'll have to endure another Crumpy kneejerk/fishing topic.

Who have we got who looks good up front scoring or not? They are all shit, if he's getting a few goals that'll do me. He'll do for now, surely he's not out next number 9 though.

A risk perhaps, the adjective seems rather superflous.
  8. That's the second challenge now that Hibbert could have had a second yellow for..

Goalscorer or unproven kid. Not that odd a decision imo. Simpson has played left back before. I was suggesting he should have made two changes if that's what the situation demanded, not made even more of a reshuffle. It started with team selection if you ask me, why change a settled back four, Simpson should have been playing RB. If you had to play Taylor play him RW, he's played there before. Seems to me Pardew (in this instance) is favouring exp just a little too much over sound positional sense.

Odd fucking decision today imo, Enrique injured, Ferguson on the bench.. Hmm, let's see. Simpson to LB and Lovenkrands to RW bringing Shola on. Horses for courses. Ferguson to LB and if Lovens shit just replace him with Shola, don't swap half the fucking team around to accomodate Lovenkrands out of position!
  11. Complete fuck up playing Lovenkrands at RW and leaving Ferguson sitting on the bench like.
  12. They'll have been mental to begin with.
  13. Don't know who plays in his place but I thought he was one of your best players in the reverse fixture helping to keep the score at just the one. Judging by what I saw last night Beckford is going to have some seriously bruised ribs today, he might not be 100% by Saturday. Don't think we can read too much into the performance though and expect it to be a walk in the park for us, Reading were in cup-drive mode and were as industrious a team as I've seen this season. Unless we play with that same drive and passion there's no way we will make Everton look so poor. Actually, rather annoying how the commentators kept saying how poor Evetrton were as it really gave no credit to how well Reading were playing.
  14. Reading really up for this fixture, or conversely Everton aren't.
  15. Is this £25m figure undisputed now, was it mentioned in the tribunal records or something? I thought it was just paper-talk.
  16. I think that's a pretty spot on assessment. Nolan provides more than goals though, there's this intangible leader job he seems to be doing also. But to suggest we can't get better for the position, as some seem to imply, is surely wrong. I'd love to have seen how, (mayhaps there's still a slight chance), an in-form Stephen Ireland and Ben Arfa would have operated together. Barfa a deep-lying forward and Ireland a traditional AM - Given his pace, Ranger might be the best option ahead of them and finally, Tiote in behind, though that goes without saying really.
  17. On the contrary, I'm sure there will be quite a few interested. Just because they're not falling over themselves to post in this reactionary thread doesn't mean there is no interest.
  18. I would think it more inevitable that it descends off the front page of topics pretty swiftly. Maybe think should be hope.
