Just me, or is this ref a bit of a homer?

Well I hope to fuck this game is one of the proverbial ones of two halves, as another half like that one and we'll be getting no points out of this game. Don't get how we can so often raise our games against the so called big teams and do the apparent opposite for the lesser ones.

Difficult to imagine how this makes sense on any level. Even a deal for Taarabt could have been done without this, so I don't get it.

Keep thinking of the potential of this squad, a few right faces in in the summer and we could have a seriously tasty side. (The best 11/12 that is - probably still lacking genuine depth.)

Liverpool really aren't that big a fish atm. Not saying they're easy like, just don't need to fear them the way we would with a top 4 side. And was just thinking the other night, if anyone should be familiar with Carroll - Colo should have it covered.

I think you're confusing what other teams fans might think with what other teams managers might think.

I went for Best and Ranger. Wouldn't be adverse to Ranger going on loan but that would mean we need two strikers in the window - unless Pardew intends playing Ben Arfa as a deep fwd.

Cool head and skillful feet on a rock of a player. Reads the game well. Brilliant for us.

The trouble with Ameobi is he's as likely to trip over the ball as he is to put it in the back of the net. I love him when he scores but he's frustratingly inept at times and, it has to be said, always has been. Lovenkrands can be a decent link up and gets himself in some good positions but he's no Sheringham, he's more like 'jigsaw' in front of goal, way too eratic. Best is the best striker at the club atm, but I hope that changes in the forthcoming transfer window. He can improve as Ronaldo suggests, but I personally can't see him becoming top drawer.

Got to be happy with a point I guess.

That half just flew by. Plenty of fight in our lads but can't help feeling manu have another gear to move up. If we had a couple of strikers we'd be ahead I reckon. Like to see Ireland on for Lovens early 2nd half.
