Don't think we need that many personally. I'd say we need a good striker and cover for LB, CB and DM. We've got Obertan, Marveaux, Gutierrez and Ben Arfa who can all play on the wing so I don't see any need for a Barton replacement, and any new striker coming in will drop another current striker down a peg to replace Lovenkrands.

It was absolutely the right thing to do. only in hindsight. i'm normally someone who gives him a chance but even i think thought bringing him on wasn't the right thing to do. sometimes you can do the wrong thing and it works. You're assuming that Pardew had absolutely no idea that Shola was really up for it today, and just got lucky, which may not be true.

Faye/Rozenhall vs Williamson/Simpson fair enough, but Tiote and Best should be fairing better in that list than Sibierski and Parker (as much as I liked Sibierski Best has scored more and has more potential due to his). There are some superficial similarities there, that's where it ends though.

Tiote is roughly equivalent to who? Sandro If by roughly equivalent he means similar to Tiote but not quite as good then I'd agree. Sandro has loads of potential and he's already very good at 22, but IMO Tiote's a better player right now.

I agree with that. There are a few problems when picking the best team though imo. I'm a massivee Sandro fan but i also think Tiote is great so i can see both sides of the argument. I can also see why Krul is being picked over Friedel but then i can see why i'd want Friedel over Krul. I think Ben Arfa is Brilliant so even though i'd have Lennon over Marvaeux, i'd have Ben Arfa over Lennon so it's hard man.
