What the fuck is Poyet wearing? Looks like a jacket about 3 times too big for him
-
As well as loads of injuries, the Spuds don't have major injury problems do they?
-
Fluke goal for the Spuds.

It is very sick and wrong, but also very funny

Common you rip roaring potters! mackems.gif

Couldn't agree less there, he looks particularly good one on one, just waits and steps in to take the ball away. Looks like a top central defender in a team in disarray to me.

By the time next season begins Owen will be a few months from being 30 and he's on insane wages. Its unfortunate that we may not be able to get any money for him, but its definitely not the end of the world if he goes at the end of the season IMO.

says it all about our plight atm that this is the game i'm relying on to give me my weekly dose of football joy Not really, Newcastle aren't playing this week But seriously, I know what you mean I'm looking forward to this game as well, but I'm still looking forward to the Man City game more.

I agree with the ponce also if he had us down as a loss against City and said we should be worried about relegation the same people would be complaining about his comments

Of course it matters, one situation is a Football club being able to spend because they generate big money from being am extremely successful Football club. The other is a club who are able to spend simply because some bloke decided he fancied playing Football manager in real life. One is the way it should be, the other will destroy the game completely. I'm not saying I like Man Utd, I think they're a bunch of spoilt cunts and I think there is bias towards them from all corners in the game. However I don't think anyone has a leg to stand on when complaining about them spending the money they make from their own success.. Both are several hundred million pounds in debt so, regardless of how they got there, it's hard to argue that "One is the way it should be". Its not hard to argue, its quite easy really. What's hard to argue is that these two clubs are in anywhere near similar situations. Manure are in debt because the Glazers put them in debt to finance their takeover, its also sustainable within the finances of the club. Chelsea are in debt because they couldn't afford the players they bought, or their wages. They're also in debt to a point where they would have had to fold 10 times over if not for Abramovich. Manure are a club who can spend big because they're successful. Chelsea are a club who have had insane amounts of money spent for them to make them successful.. If anyone out there can't see the difference there then.. well I'd be speechless. Of course I can see the difference , that's why I said "regardless of how they got there". The argument isn't how the clubs got into debt, but that no club should be held up as an example of how other clubs should be run when they are so hugely in debt. Given the current financial climate if anyone out there can't see the commonsense in that then... well I'd be speechless. I didn't claim that Manure should be held up as an example of how other clubs should be run. I said that being able to buy big because of being a successful club is how it should be. As compared to being able to buy success because a bloke decides to throw his money away on a unsuccessful club for a laugh (the way it shouldn't be). Having said that I think pre American takeover they are a great example of how a club should be run. They've made themselves into an amazingly successful club through great management and despite not being based in London. Until the Glazers decided buy the club with its own money they didn't have any real debt, and even now the debt they have is still manageable.

Makes me laugh this Gutierrez situation. He's clearly used a FIFA ruling and made himself a free agent. We've signed him after that, yet "Newcastle are clearly liable" why's that then? Meanwhile they're citing FIFA regulations to us mackems.gif I mean do they really think Gutierrez would be playing if we hadn't had his registration accepted already?.. They just come off as gold digging chancers.

How many goals did the likes of Chopra score for the reserves at 17 years old? Can't remember this much fuss being made about any of the names mentioned here at that age. Nah Power Rangers the real thing!
-
In the youths... As well as the reserves.

Fucking hat trick, Ranger is god!

Also from that thread: Just today?, oh dear

The ref helping Liverpool out

2:1 Zaki again, what a goal!

Well Bassedas was capped 26 times and a regular in the mid 90`s with the Argentina national squad But I agree about Colo, can`t believe some people are doubting him.....really think he`ll turn out to be a top buy and prove the doubters wrong once we have some stability on and off the field There's a big difference between being a current international and a past international though. Bassedas hadn't played for Argentina for a full year before he signed for us.

That is media spin and selective quoting of the Keith Harris interview. It doesn't say Keegan will be back and it doesn't say he won't be. Why should whoever is trying to buy the club mention who they want as manager? Newcastle and Keegan are totally separate. It's not as if Ashley could guarantee Keegan would return. I'd be worried about a buyer who only wanted NUFC if they could get Keegan back. Spot on. Well lets bookmark this and see what happens ,probably be a load of horse shit until this quote is verified .Imho i think we should start from scratch and not get lost in sentimentality . The quotes are real, they just don't say what the headline or story suggests that's all. Its typical tabloid crap turning a nothing quote into news by twisting its meaning.

That's incorrect. If they'd all been available we'd have been talking about what good business £12m was. The problem is, we didn't bring in enough players to pad out our squad, so we are missing him, no doubt. In order for us to "miss him", he must be a better player then what we currently have. On the fact that Geremi had more assists than he did last season, and has at least a semblance of understanding with Owen (in delivering free kicks and crossses), no we don't miss him at all. According to ESPN, in 3 seasons with 89 starts + 8 sub appearances, Gutiérrez had 5 goals and 8 assists with Mallorca, that's less than 2 goals and 3 assists per season. I guess we haven't been missing him either and should stick with Geremi? We should also be looking to sell him on in January if we can make a decent profit. I'd call £8 million a decent profit on Milner, £12 million is a lot more than decent.
