It's not just the journos tbf Rich. We've had Gary Neville saying the same thing on Sky tonight. We have fans on here who have expressed similar views. Seems like while it's okay for other British teams to field a side of internationals, we are expected to field home grown players who eat chip butties and head for the pub after training. Gary Neville is as much a fraud as Pardew for me, although I know some won't agree with that. He's marginally better than the rest of the absolute shit that constitutes punditry and analysis on the major football programmes we get fed. If your point was that if Luke Edwards is a cretin, then so are Gary Neville and some posters on here then I definitely agree My point is that we need a manager who is strong enough in his belief about his football principles to take a stand one way or another rather than trying to keep everyone happy and hoping things will turn out alright on the night. Tony Pulis is a lower league manager but at least he knows what he's about and can set his team up with some logic according to his philosophy, and in the end that's been enough to keep them in the division. Apologies for not getting that from your initial post.

Luke Edwards is a real cretin, to be fair, he's been grinding the axe all season.

It's just an easy fucking get out clause man, shifting the blame onto a specific group of players.

One thing that has irked me re: this agenda, the reporting of this game and Pardew's post-match comments is that it appeared to start at half-time. Absolutely zero mention of the fact we were utter balls from minute 1 of 90.

I just want him to let go of the "shield" button. It's not been effective since FIFA 11.
-
Just with the "leaning on experience" comments and everything from post-Liverpool, he may even go the whole hog and chuck Harper back in.
-
Jonas and Shola Honestly think it's what he'll revert to, or near enough at least. I'm being optimistic including Ben Arfa there ahead of Sissoko, he might want another jumper on the park.

Elliot Simpson Taylor Coloccini Perch Ben Arfa Cabaye Tiote Gutierrez Ameobi Cisse Harper, Yanga-Mbiwa, Haidara, Anita, Sissoko, Marveaux, Gouffran.

That could be important.

Come on, now. This is getting silly.

Dunno if anyone else has noticed, but Agbonlahor is canny quick. Jesus.

What a goal. What a game.

Villa are great value man, they just play like mad cunts every week.
-
Tremendous goal as well, fair play.
-
Couldn't help but applaud that, fucking brilliant CB play.

Ron Vlaar, you mad bastard.
