Gonzalez DOES wear those Nike boots... he's having a joke amongst Xisco, Geremi, Coloccini and Jonas... it's fucking him you know!
-
Actually. Stone the crows... is he on the training photos!? In the hat!? OH MY! http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1630872,00.html
-
I didn't forget him actually (dunno if you saw my earlier post on the squad status in here), but it appears everyone at the club has done! If he kicks a ball for us again this season I'll eat my own poo.
-
Posted it in his thread, but Oba was in full training today (along with Xisco, you fucker Pilko). So it's only Joey and Jose missing from the first-team pool, barring any late setbacks. I am foaming at the gash for Sunday now like.
-
I am buzzing at the minute with all of these players returning from injury and the fact that Sir Al is our manager. Only Barton and Enrique missing from the first-team pool really. Howay Oba, you little fucker.
-
He's on the training pics from today like, which actually gets me quite excited. Hope he's fit to start with Owen and Carroll.
-
When the fuck did he get his nose pierced!? Just watching the video of him on NUFC.co.uk now. Ha.
-
I fucking hate these cunting lists. I realise that isn't exactly a worthwhile contribution, but it needed to be said. Absolute load of dog wank.
-
Xisco is academic though, either way. He won't be getting a game. 8 fucking strikers in that squad now (9 if you count Smith), we seriously need to cut the chaff (Viduka, Ameobi and Smith).
-
Based on that, my preferred line-up would be: Harper S. Taylor Beye Bassong Edgar Guthrie Butt Jonas Owen Carroll Lovenkrands Bench: Krul, R. Taylor, Coloccini, Nolan, Duff, Viduka, Martins. Martins in for Lovenkrands if fit enough, with S. Taylor continuing at right-back if he makes it as Beye and Bassong have looked solid enough and it keeps the Beye-Bassong-Edgar trio together (although I realise Edgar played in the centre of the 3 last week). Nolan dropped from midfield as he's been the worst performer in there and Nicky Butt tends to like White Hart Lane, Jonas playing on the left of the three for his pace and ability to help the LB out with Lennon. When that happens, Oba/Loven drop back in from their advanced role, leaving Carroll as a lone striker (basically what we did last season under KK.)
-
So, based on Shearer's press conference and interview with NUFC TV today, the available players would appear to be: Harper, Krul, Forster, Beye, R. Taylor, S. Taylor (back in full training tomorrow, Al sounded positive), Coloccini (slight knock, but we all know Colo usually pulls through), Cacapa, Bassong, Edgar, Geremi, Jonas, Butt, Guthrie, Nolan, Smith, Duff, Viduka (already publicised that he's been in full training and is in the squad), Owen, Carroll, Ranger, Xisco (who knows? Inivisible man), Ameobi, Lovenkrands (returned to full training yesterday, appears available), Martins (hasn't trained as of today, but isn't completely ruled out as a decision on whether to take him will be made tonight/tomorrow morning). Jose Enrique is rated by the great man himself as "very doubtful" so can probably be ruled out, while there has been no mention of a return just yet for Joey Barton and Nacho Gonzalez is pretty much a write-off. Kadar crocked long-term too.

Same. me anarl 12 year later and we are shit! That was the point of it man

POTS AND KETTLES!!

I'm not talking slide tackles etc really, more like shirt tugging and general sly bastardry There wasn't even any of that, not from me anyway (and I was playing CB). It's not half as serious as is being made out on here man. The standard was fucking appalling, but everybody played fair It's more of a "game on the grass at lunchtime" than a competitive affair. i can think of at least one moment of pure quality. That and Greg's through ball were the standout moments for me, both delightful.
-
The ref was giving the reds offside goals last time anyway, man. But then again, they were playing sans a 'keeper and with a cracked Nut manning the sticks after his injury. This game should be a hell of a lot closer if you ask me.

Haha well we'll see. We'll just see if you have the temptation to pull me back when I've just sped past you and am about to bury my 15th hattrick of the half. That's why I've moved to RB man! I'm terrified by the hype surrounding the partnership between you and Pilko Ibrahimovic, don't know how Greg and Ash are going to cope.

The last game was clean as a whistle as far as I remember. There's not much fouling can be done on 3G anyway, unless you like severe carpet burns (I do, like, seem to collect them). It would be better if we could sort one out, but I don't think it's of massive importance.
-
We probably don't need a ref like, the last one had fuck all to do. Make our own decisions. We do it in the Intramural League at University without *too much* hassle, but those games are competitive and in leagues and against people you don't like. Only the latter one applies to this game so I we'd just about get by without one. Seriously. The only game our team has got into a mass-brawl (broken noses and all sorts, it was fucking mint) was when there WAS a referee there... who the other team had brought with them like... If people can't be honest/fair in a game of this sort then my faith in humanity would take another numbing blow.

Was on sky wasn't it. Possibly Soccer AM It was me you spoke to. Trevor Sinclair said on Soccer AM that Barton told him that when they spoke on the phone. My memory is shocking. I like it, anyway, let's hope he's right!
-
Was it someone off here or someone I know off the forum who said they'd seen him out in Town recently? Apparently said "I'll be back soon and I'll keep us up" when asked about his return
-
Had a great season. Really like him as a player these days. I do as well, always have done since his WHU days but his dive against us leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Not a big fan, but you can't argue with his record. That second goal was lovely.

Wish Liverpool had done it, but dear me. Surreal game. Fucking Lampard...
