Botman's pass straight out of play and then his being caught in no man's land shortly afterwards for their goal took a bit of the shine off an otherwise class performance, for me. Not for many others, though, it seems: Wor Fab will never be fully appreciated by the masses. He was the better of the two tonight, as tends to be the way. I generally don’t think Burn is up to much at LB in possession, but he was quality tonight I thought. Better defensively than offensively, obviously, but didn’t find myself griping at him much. Certainly not when compared to a few others!

Can play anywhere across the back four and in DM, he could well be AI.

It's honestly nothing to get vexed about. Back when I was involved it was a bollocking if we didn't know the opposing XI and bench well in advance of kick-off. City, especially, will have something near a 100% hit rate in their analyst's opposing XI predictions these days, I'd imagine. They've had a section of their analysis department dedicated to it for well over a decade now.
