That would have been an awesome goal.
-
Always had good feet Anderson, helped out there in a tight spot.
-
Fair enough, wasn’t aware.
-
Could have gone for a Klinsmann and that other bloke approach. Carly can be the technical guy with a Co manager who’s the public face.
-
He’s also a left winger.
-
Hutchinson, nice goal.
-
The guy who put that free kick in for Germany had black boots, I was shocked.
-
Hutchinson should have passed to Elioyt he was free on the edge of the box.

We need to set up links with clubs that have a record of bringing through players (Feynoord, PSV, Ajax, Anderlecht) and upper level Championship clubs. Send the players we sign from abroad with the intention of developing to the first group of clubs and Championship clubs for our better homegrown academy players. Players won’t ever develop without consistent game time and when we’re fighting for Champions League football and cup trophies Howe can’t risk youngsters. Can’t we do a tie up with a top half Championship club and subsidies some of their costs in return for taking our youngsters on loan and giving them game time? Not sure on league rules about such payments.

Would be happy if he signs and he’s been effective for Forest but from what I’ve seen he needs space to run into like Gordon. We need some players who can play against low blocks with a killer pass, 1-2s around the box or can dribble (not kick and run but more Ben Arfa type dribbler). I guess the Joao Pedro interest could be to cover that.

If we’ve bid £45m and they value him at £60m I reckon we’ll up the offer to £50m straight cash and £5m in achievable bonuses and get it done.

Bigging up this Nwaneri dude (commentator).

Pap from Stansfield.

Agree but in this period it’s the Spanish asking more questions.
-
England clinging on a bit.
-
Nice double save by Beedle.
-
England were more direct during the first part of this half but have eased off and the Spanish have really come back into it.
-
Scott should have got rid of it instead of trying to play his way out.
-
That was a nice move by England.

Not sure if serious but CL football, massive support, Eddie Howe and staff, a general upward trajectory are all positives in our favour. PSR restricts us, our initial signing strategy were upcoming players abroad (Bruno, Botman, Isak) or highly rated English players (Hall, Gordon and Livra) which is risky. Tonali was the only young established signing, the other being an older Trippier. Now we’re back at the top we seem to be looking at established players (Guehi, Mbeumo) to take us to the next level but we don’t have the finances to match. I’d go back to the old strategy that got us here.

Do valuations go down the longer you wait though. Any quality player (the type we will be after) will have other suitors so is it not a case of pay up or move along?
-
It’s a bit on the players as well, what idiot would go there knowing Yamal has that position. Go to Barca and have it on your CV and get 5-10 minutes in the odd game as a sub or go to a less prestigious club still playing in the Champions league and who are competitive and play lots of minutes.

@The Prophet I’d consider later being during August before the season kicks off.

I don’t, just putting some thoughts down based on the us waiting till later in the window comments. Just spitballing.
