There hasn’t yet been an occasion where the 2nd ballot is needed. The 2nd ballot will only happen if for example not enough people enter category 1. There for there would be tickets left over for category 1 and would need re balloted. It was only added in to the t & c (likely a legal thing) after it was changed to allow people what category was picked. Let’s be honest it’s unlikey it’ll ever happen where there’s a short fall in people entering one of categories but they rightfully need to put something in place it ever does happen

It’s only happened because Scotland have tried to cap him, he pulled out and Southgate was asked about it. If Scotland hadn’t tried to cap him and if he hadn’t pulled out ‘injured’ his name wouldn’t have been uttered in connection with England once this weekend. Him pulling out of the scotland squad is what has made this the story not anything he’s done in his career so far

For all that is wrong with the new ticketing I do think the season ticket re-sales is a good thing. If determined enough there’s a good chance of getting one. Credit to club for that at least
