  1. It is guess work of course based on howe saying he wants both Wilson & isak playing together
  2. Howe has said things changed because of Wilson’s injury much like Bruno I suspect this money will have been enhanced from another window. I don’t doubt there was a budget and we’ve decided to over spend on it and obv I’m delighted we have. Point is I’ll be amazed if we spend much more. Again delighted if I’m wrong but if u want a wee pat on the head that you were right then sit boy
  3. We’ve literally just signed a guy that will play on the right in the first team when everyone is fit we suspect while another 3 competent right sided players are back up. Mate, I get it, I’d love another right sided player of quality but it doesn’t make sense to have 5 right sided players going for one position. Come on. I get the concerns about Wilson’s injury but if it’s that much of a concern we’d be better off just replacing him completely. i think the next window or next summer we’ll see the likes of Murphy or Fraser move on and another to come in. It’s a big ask in the next few days when we’ve already reportedly over spend the budget is all I’m saying
  4. Things change. I dare say if Shelvey hadn’t got injured we’d have went for a winger. Things notably shifted after his injury. It’s absolutely no coincidence that we pushed the boat out for Isak that Howe has even said covers both positions and will play with Wilson not instead of when fit. You seem to want it all in one window when we have a tight budget you may think Almiron, Fraser and Murphy are shite, I may well agree but Howe and Ashworth may well disagree and think they are adequate cover. What is a fact Is we have 4 players that can play there and unless someone leaves it doesn’t make sense bringing in another
  5. They might be shite tho howe seems to rate Almiron & Fraser and Unless one of those 3 leave which looks unlikely I can’t see us bringing in another especially as our targets seems to have shifted to midfield after Shelvey’s injury Its only the second window we are never gonna solve it all this summer. Getting Isak is a coup and a half.
  6. Yeah we’ve got Almiron, Murphy & Fraser all to cover the right side position if Wilson is injured and Isak plays thru the middle. That’s the reality of the situation we are only in our second window and we have 4 players that can play as a right sided forward/winger. Wether the 3 others are good enough is up for debate but what isn’t is we are stacked for right sided forwards
  7. Yup Isak covers both positions like Pedro would have
  8. Doubt there will be much movement now maybe a midfielder on loan if we are lucky. If stories of a budget were even a fraction true then we’ve spent over it already. Also I don’t really buy in to this Howe keeping his cards close to his chest stuff as (I may be wrong) he was pretty open and up front about what we needed and wanted to do towards the end of the window in January. Let’s also not forget he’s been very consistent about needing 1 maybe 2 In. The only thing that maybe changed that was the injury to krafth would love to be wrong
  9. Edwards is reporting literally what Howe has just said he might be a fanny but come on
  10. Don’t think that’s too surprising to be honest we’ve clearly over spent the budget as it is to get Isak in. just hope what ever loan we get is good enough for the first team
  11. Wasn’t it because he was about to be subbed for Ritchie
  12. Everton want pedro and he’s apparently mint
  13. what purpose would recalling him serve? There won’t be a squad place for him until January
  14. I haven’t saw anything concrete but I’ll be amazed if we loan him for free. That really would be doing them favours
  15. Honestly this idea that we’ve done Man Utd a favour is laughable. This isn’t Lee Charnley thats doing the deals. We know very little about this deal but let’s get real, it wouldn’t have happened unless it was good for us. We clearly want his wages off the books and £6m may not sound much but it’s the most we’ve got for any of our outgoings so far. Anyway point is this is Newcastle United being run by serious and competent people that won’t be doing ‘favours’ we can all have our opinions but the only opinion that matters is Eddie Howe and by signing a new first choice keeper is signals he doesn’t particularly rate Dubravka.
  16. If u factor in a probable £1-2m loan fee are we actually potentially making a profit on a 33 year old keeper?
  17. Quick question… has Olsen, Kepa, Butland, Johnstone, Begovic, Areola or Forster publicly said they want to leave their clubs?
  18. Sound. It’s really simple The guy wants to go. We need a keeper out the door. Howe clearly doesn’t share your concerns about Darlow. We made a deal happen. the business we’ve done and look like continuing to do and people are moaning about letting a substitute keeper go.
  19. An inevitable £6m plus what ever the loan fee will be on top of that is decent business.
  20. You may well have a problem but you don’t pick the team. Just because you don’t rate Darlow doesn’t mean Howe doesn’t. ffs I think some people forget Rob Elliott was our number 1 in the not too distant past. Some are going way over the top about Darlow
  21. What do people not get about the fact we don’t need 4 keepers. If there was any hint of Darlow going Dubravka would be staying. I’m confident in saying another keeper won’t be brought in
  22. its not awful. It’s just not an ideal world. Some people just want it all. He wanted out. We needed a keeper off the books. We’ll get at least a few million for a 33 year old keeper with a poor injury record. Darlow is competent but not particularly great. That’s why he’s a no 2.
