Thank fuck we were never in for him.
-
News of what? If not signings ? He posted it in the transfer rumours thread
-
How do you know Howe doesn’t rate Darlow?
-
Souness has said Stoke are a bigger club than Sunderland and it’s sent them in to meltdown
-
Love all the wannabe Dan Ashworths in here
-
Hopefully the appearances clause isn’t a high number
-
According to 360 they reckon appearances will trigger the £5m permanent signing. If there is a decent loan fee on top of that then it’s not the worst deal
-
If we want another 2 in we’d have to shift about 3 or 4 surely
-
Exactly this. We need to shift players out. We were always going to lose a goalkeeper. Sometimes we just have to make the best deals we can or end up with 4 keepers one of which would be unhappy
-
Perhaps we are getting a substantial loan fee? Perhaps getting his wages off the books is the difference in bringing in a midfielder. No one here is in high level discussions of what the deal is. Modern day football some people seem more concerned at the deal we can make rather than the players/squad itself. all I’ve read on here is Ashworth & Eales are the business let’s trust them with the deal then. They won’t be giving him away that’s for sure
-
Out of interest how much would you realistically expect to sell him for?
-
Could be anything. Could be the fact we need to drop a keeper from squad and Dúbravka is only one that has offers, could be Dubravka Is unhappy and the loan fee plus possible £5m buy option represents a good deal for a 33 year old keeper, could be Howe doesn’t trust his injury record or it could actually be Howe rates Darlow. Could well be a combination of all these things. Who knows? The club/Howe haven’t made many bad decisions so far
-
No one knows what the loan fee is and it gets his wages off the books which could open up a little more for a new midfielder. That being said I’d rather keep him but love how together this squad is we don’t want any unhappy players
-
‘Send him’ I think he might have quite a big say in it
-
Well this is it isn’t it? He probably thinks it’ll be easier to displace the guy who’s had a rocky start than the guy that’s just been bought to replace him that’s had a solid start.
-
I just explained that. Howe might disagree. Howe might see the harmony of the squad as more important than having an upgrade in a back up keeper, if Dúbravka is unhappy he might want to let him go. Ill be amazed if another keeper comes in.
-
We have 4 keepers we aren’t short in numbers. In fact we have one too many and Howe’s opinion of a back up keeper may differ from others. Personally I’d rather have Dúbravka but just looking at it from how the club might view it. If Dubravka goes there isn’t a chance another keeper comes in
-
Aye we can’t have it all unfortunately
-
I mean we have 4 keepers and one has to go. There doesn’t seem much interest in Darlow. I imagine he’ll end up going with a few million loan fee with the option to buy.
-
What’s ando saying? Come on let’s get these last 4 days hyped up. First summer transfer deadline i have a proper interest in in a very long time
-
we have no interest in signing him I think that’s pretty clear
-
If they don’t sign anyone and freshen up their squad they’ll get no where near. Especially if they sell arguably their best player
-
Are you confusing Neves with Their manager?
