My general feeling is that the recent form is the real newcastle United. The stink of Bruce is being washed away and with a decent manager the players are now playing to the standard they should be at. It’s no coincidence Schar, willock, Fraser, Joelinton etc have started to look like different players. Yes we may struggle for goals that’s the main concern but this squad should never be going so long without a win. I think if we can continue to get positive results over next few weeks we will go from strength to strength and be fine.

Point is only takes a wee run of form to get you in a better position. Easy to dismiss Burnley by saying they’ve only won 2 all season. Well we’ve only won 2 more than them and that’s due to a nice run of form

Most teams have games in hand on them and they are dropping like a stone if you look at the form table over last 5, 10, 15 & 20 games they are in bottom 3 for all of them but rock bottom in 3 of them
