There’s not a chance we have another £160m to spend without selling Isak
-
don’t worry about Isak camp. Look at what we are doing. We’ve isolated him from the group (maybe rightly so) we are bending backwards to try get his replacement (Šeško & now Jackson) Isak’s camp don’t need to say anything they’ve got what they want. He’s as good as gone imo. The dominoes just need to fall.

1. In this instance I think it’s true. They’ve done a number on him. Turned his head 2. Liverpool are working on the Isak deal and it won’t be cheap. We should be at least testing the water if he goes to Liverpool so be it but I don’t think they could afford Isak & Guehi without their sales. Are you suggesting we just give up and go for a cheaper inferior player because Liverpool are interested 3. Why not believe Hope? McGinn started the least amount of games last season in his whole Villa career spending more games on the bench than any other season too and approaching 31 I don’t think it would take anywhere near £40m to get him. edit: just to add if we do in fact spent anything near £30-£40m on a 30 year old John McGinn then we have seriously fucked it and lost the plot. McGinn is the definition of ‘cheap option’
-
There’s only been one report saying we are sticking around. It’s pretty much done. He’ll he a Man Utd player. Fuck him
-
I don’t want him. He can fuck off. He had a choice to make and he choose them
-
I think Isak got his head turned by Liverpool and only wanted Liverpool. I suspect other clubs knew this but also Chelsea aside I don’t think other clubs could afford him. my logic in this case is we appear to be going for cheaper targets which doesn’t make sense. We passed on Thaiw to chase Guehi all summer last year but this summer when we apparently have money we go for the cheaper target. Also John McGinn? Again I cheap option. Does anyone believe if we had money to spend we’d be going for a 31 year old John McGinn ?

He would literally be replacing Isak. No one is saying he has to be as good as Isak but I’d be hoping for better than Jackson
-
I do think me and others are going over the top slightly but for me it’s the full picture - price - replacing Isak - the player. I just don’t think he’s good enough to replace Isak and certainly not at that price
-
As I said before tho look at Jackson’s goals for Chelsea. We don’t have a Cole palmer type that can just lay it on a plate. Isak is lethal Jackson isn’t
-
We don’t have an answer. There’s a few reasons I’ve listed why Ramos would be better than Jackson
-
Cheaper for a start, a player we fancied at Benfica, Jackson also just seems brainless at times. Ramos appears to be a better finisher not all of his goals are tap ins and it’s not giving Chelsea a ridiculous amount of money to basically pay for the two players they nabbed off us. Aldo Ramos won’t be away for AFCON
-
Just hope this is a Barella- Tonali situation and we get Ramos
-
Not saying I have the answers. I’m just fairly confident the answer isn’t Nicholas Jackson
-
elanga aside has there been one single positive this summer? We’ve not even managed to win a friendly yet
-
We’ve one of best strikers in the world. You don’t replace him with Jackson, it’s a massive step down for a huge price. Makes no sense other than shrug there’s no one else
-
nothing particularly here to get excited about. Absolute tap in merchant.
-
This window has got me actually hating football
-
Just looked at all his Chelsea goals. Most of them are laid on hits for 6 yards.. We don’t have that cole Palmer type to hold his hand
-
We absolutely should not be making ourselves massively weaker to appease Isak
-
I just don’t think that’s realistic. Don’t think he’ll waste a year of his career.
