Mayor of Marseille trying to put a spanner in the works “I will ask the president of Olympique de Marseille not to recruit Greenwood. I don't want my club to be covered in the shame of someone who hits his wife. I don't want my club to be covered in the ashes of someone who hits his wife like that. It's not acceptable."

Yes and we negotiated and got a deal. Reports are this is Man Utd’s 3rd & final deal and they are still almost £30m short. personally I do think Branthwaite is a really good player & one of Everton’s best players last season. IMO their 3rd offer is derisory never mind their 1st but it’s a matter of opinions. Everton’s opinion probably the one that matters most is that the offer is derisory you can disagree that’s ok

I think a lot of our business has been jumping at really good deals when they come along. Trippier - wanted to come back to England and by his own account took a pay cut. Pope - signed from relegated Burnley Bruno - got in at a good price with the likes of Arsenal sniff about Isak - got him on the back of a poor season Tonali - got him cheaper than expected Barnes - from relegated Leicester Livramento - off the back of a long term injury & Southampton getting relegated Gordon - got him in January when Everton really needed money Kelly - got him on a free transfer Vlachodimos - as part of PSR deal with Forest. Personally I think the likes of Barnes, Livramento, Tonali and Hall all became available at good prices and we acted rather than missing out. It’s working smart
-
Regardless it was never both it was one or the other & Isak came straight out of the blue. You knew the point I was making.
-
I reiterate if Mike Ashley had put those bids in while he was here we all know the responses that would get on here. Everton have told them their valuation and they’ve had 3 bids absolutely none of them even come close.

Our ticketing could be worse. Liverpool fan Rejected for all home games in the first half of the season all in one go
-
I do have a feeling it’ll be Neto tbh.
-
Good at least the chronicle can stop writing articles about us being ‘urged to sign Man City striker’
-
fwiw I think the RW will be a signing we don’t see coming like the public links to Barella & next day we’ve agreed a deal for Tonali and the public links with Joao Pedro & the next day we’ve signed Isak
-
Thats irrelevant tho. Everton don’t want to or need to sell him. They hold the cards.
-
I’m sure they wanted £60m in the summer and were prepared to take less in the January because of PSR reasons. Newcastle took advantage of that. That’s still only £15m of a difference over two windows. Man United are near double that difference over 2 weeks this is what? Man Utd’s 3rd bid and are still £25m-£30m short. If Mike Ashley was bidding £45m for an £80m priced player you can absolutely bet everyone in here would be calling it derisory and “we tried”
-
It’s derisory to Everton as they’ve told you their evaluation and it’s no where near it
-
Wouldn’t go that far the right side absolutely needs freshening up. Miggy has to go
-
How can u think Bowen is over rated then say Madueke yes please. I appreciate it’s your opinion but Madueke has done absolutely nothing at Chelsea. He’s most notable for arguing over a penalty. Baffles me
-
Apparently Newcastle believe that to be ‘nonsense’
-
Elanga would be as underwhelming as it gets.
-
They do seem to be the 3 or 4 players we are consistently linked with. Especially Elanga & Madueke
-
Bowen would be great. The rest of those RW targets don’t excite me at all

You cannae beat a bit of ‘my life is better than yours’
