So. Bayer Leverkusen are class.
-
Emotions aside, I think this is the most important game this week. The PL season is long. We can make amends for a loss to the mackems (in terms of points) over the course of the season, but the CL table will look uncomfortable if we lose, this with PSG away looming. Genuinely fascinated who Eddie thinks our best XI is for this one.

Almost forgot that Shola slayed Leverkusen. Class.

Haha. Chelsea miss a chance at the end. I'll take it.
-
Great quickly taken free kick from Atalanta

I thought we had a "Football Media" but I can't seem to find it: I think someone mentioned it before but BBC sports coverage really has been contorted to generate clicks from fans of the most popular clubs. It's just a Liverpool fan clickbait feed rather than news. So dull.

A solid defensive showing/clean sheet would be delightful.
-
Not a complete get out of jail card but these are two squads that are particularly ill-equipped to play three games in a week.
-
Couldn't watch the game today. Maybe makes it easier to feel like three points is three points ahead of two big games, and that we didn't have to field our starting XI (whatever that is).
-
Hope so. NUFC keep dropping points to them.
-
1-1 feel sufficiently disappointing for them both. Sunderland battered them but didn't win. Liverpool didn't win.
-
Got to enjoy the little things in life. Brighton and Chelsea with hugely deflating losses.
-
Wonder if the mackems are booing or cheering Isak
-
Kudus did well when Hall overcommitted to tackle, but that's not the same as minimising space - especially when you've got lots of bodies behind you and the risk of him dribbling by you is less risky.
-
Definitely a mentality issue though. Never feel safe at 1-0 vs dross. Wasn't like that last year.
-
I think Thiaw botched the block/clearance, so Ramsdale started late.
-
Disappointing but not catastrophic. Same tendency as the Marseille game to not put pressure on the opposition when they're out wide. Just let them put balls in. Too much confidence on the aerial presence of our CBs?
-
Perhaps there is a apprehension around buying players who aren't PL-proven. Which is arrogant and daft, but I'd not be surprised.
-
Kind of game that makes me glad I don't bet on football these days. Proper coupon buster.

3 points from 6th to 15th. The PL middle class is basically everyone.
-
It's a bit simplistic, but so much of this is about Tino and Hall. Need to keep them fit and moderately well rested. Best performances last two years are with them tearing it up.

Good to finally reset our relationship with Everton (a). In due course, I hope to even forget the name Goodison Park. Also nice that Howe let Gordon technically experience victory against them. I do wonder what our record is with Miley as a starter. Anecdotally I feel like it's about a 90% win ratio. Hopefully some good learning there: - Ramsdale starter - Keep the ball, tire the opposition, keep your energy - Thiaw is a beast - Miley deserves more minutes

Was genuinely beginning to think it was a strategy by opposition coaches. "Let them score in the first 5 mins and the thick cunts will literally let you have possession for the rest of the game"
