2 defensive mistakes, 2 Howe goals
-
Commentators were incredibly patronising but nothing new there.
-
I completely agree with this in one way, but in another way it feels like very similar commentary has been applicable for the last 10 games in a row (Emphasis on "feels" before a smartarse says owt)

Must be difficult to feel attached to wins or losses when you play 90 seconds a game if you're lucky.

Isak dinked cross? Or Isak around the keeper? Or the header James had to put over his own bar? I don't know. Don't fundamentally disagree with you that it feels very unpolished. Just trying to get what joy I can from it all In my heart I don't really believe in this regime being the one to breakthrough

People will get on Isak, but I wouldn't pass to Longstaff there either after seeing Longstaff's other contributions. Tend to agree with CF that it wasn't too bad an away performance. Something to cheer about for the goal, and some good play in places. Too many avoidable mistakes, which feels like a more permanent feature of this side now, having been this way for so long. Time waits for no man. Probably time to blow it up this summer.

Feels like a Logan Roy moment. This is not a serious team. You can't be a serious team with Nick Pope.

All about opinions, but I don't get this one

Actually a really good performance overall I thought. Tino has been class. The teamwork and play for the goal was fantastic. Really good vision by everyone. The goal we conceded was infuriating. Just pure laziness by Schar to dive in rather than Marshall him out wide. Bit of a tendency of the whole team to slide on your arse for a tackle you can't make rather than defend. Our CB pairing has to be amongst the most unathletic in the league. Glad Isak got a goal, looks a bit sharper. Could get something out of this with a similar performance second half. Need fewer mental mistakes primarily.

Horrendous from Schar

Fantastic news. Keep proving everyone wrong AG

Can't say enough about how good this was: from the organisation (cheers Yorkie et al), to having my impressions of you all completely shattered and rewritten, to how welcoming and cool everyone was, to the surreal lovely mid-October weather. Newcastle was a paradise as usual (apart from the Brighton game aspect, but that's nothing new to me sadly). Very envious of everyone who's local.

Newcastle haven't not scored at home for a year and a half in the league, as best as I can see. One non-PL exception being the Dortmund home game which I attended. Good test of my streak this.

Alreet, Josh Allen. @Mike

Why did it come to my lips so easily...

Please can we not call ourselves the Whites.

Just come back from HT wearing a Rey Mysterio mask.

Can't believe I'm teammates with that Pardew-lover. Might go for a classic 3-2-2. Chris W Ian W. Nut JB Beren Acuna Shak Bandit

Yay. Let's sign Unai Emery, Jhon Duran and Cole Palmer.

Completely agree. It's THE big challenge for Howe's development.

Not the result we deserved but can't fault the performance and application overall. Night and day from our usual visits to Goodison. Obviously a lack of composure when in decent positions, and no one gambling into the box. Could probably have a 2 minute montage of cutbacks to no one in particular.
