  1. He has always had a rough ride on here, sometimes deservedly mind you. He played way, way too much football for us (in our 'A' and 'B' teams) and never got slack for it because he was the whipping boy of the team - when the blame would have been better aimed at Ashley for having us with 3 CBs for so long. Generally, when he plays a reasonable amount of football, he's okay. No great shakes, but not deserving of the venom he received.
  2. He was ineffective tonight but I didn't think he was garbage as such. Just like last season, he was the only outlet. Moving Remy into the middle put all the pressure back onto Hatem; they doubled-up on him and countered him easily. Just woeful tactics from Pardew, as usual. (Plus Seamus Coleman had an absolutely sensational performance - he was man of the match by a distance, for all Sky's ejaculating over Lukaku.) the excuses people will make for hba a crap game is a crap game, and he had one. And the one before that. It's really myopic to look at individual player performances in isolation from context unless they are outstandingly bad - which he wasn't. The deck was stacked against him from the get go, tonight. If he'd been on top, top form - he might have got better joy out of Coleman, but that doesn't mean the level he was at was 'garbage'. The team's plan was garbage, and he was spearheading the horrendous plan sadly - and is now taking the flak for it.
  3. The only reason Everton scored 3 goals in the first half was because we started with the car turned off and couldn't even find the keys. I mean which of their goals wasn't down to a comedy of errors?, every fucking one was. I agree to some extent, but the difference is that was when the game was still (in theory anyway ) a competitive match and that was our level that we were bringing to the table.
  4. The only reason there was even an opportunity for the cracks to be papered over was because Everton not only took their foot off the gear, but got out of the car and went for a walk. Second half means next to nothing tbh.

  6. Good point. They won a half, we (might) win a half. It's like a draw, really. Areet HF!
  7. Faaaaaack.. gutted I didn't captain him. Only because I thought Martinez might persist with fucking Jellyfish. Still, might be top of the league tonight provided no fucker immediately behind me has him as captain.
  8. Anita has been as ineffective as anyone else there. He's not strong enough, he does fine when Everton have (briefly) sat off and made a few completed Scott Parker style passes, but when Everton press, he's no where to be seen.
  9. I really don't think it's that simple. I agree 100% with you that they seem unprofessional out there, but they could be running their lungs out and trying their hardest and still look unprofessionally bad, because individuals can't be organised by themselves, and a defence most definitely can't. I know people call 'Shola' 'stroller' because of his lazy style for example, but none of our players are being purposefully shit I don't think, or nonchalant, they just don't know what the fuck to do because they haven't been coached well enough. None of them are standing hands on hips, they're just being pulverised by a slick, robust and well-drilled unit that know what they're doing, and know how to pull apart a collection of individuals.

    Alan Pardew

    I'm singing 'we're gonna win 4-3'. Having a blast.
  11. I just want Lukaku fantasy points and a loss big enough to get Pardew sacked now.
  12. Long balls at Distin ffs. That's our fucking plan. Long balls at DISTIN. Like trying to beat a brick wall at tennis ffs.
  13. Feel so bad for HBA. So much more galling to have good players and be shit than not have them and be shit.
  14. Would take a bumming to get Pardew the sack and give a new manager a fighting chance to build a defensive unit, sort out our set pieces, get some moveme-... well pretty much do everything a football coach does that a PR man can't.
  15. Looking unprofessionally weak at this point. We have no place in the division if this is our level of defensive organisation.
  16. This is basically what he's prepared us for. Everton are in the same category as City to him - can't compete, won't compete. Yuuup.
