No you are right then, the club wants rid and poor Yohan is the complete victim in all this a) I was just pulling your leg b) He's not a victim, no one has said he was to my knowledge? You have no real idea at this point that it's not a mutual decision though.

Oh Pardew and those trustworthy journalists said. That's that, then

Intrinsically very difficult to quantify the benefit derived from his advertising/marketing at the club, tbh. I was always taught that if you pay 50p to two different marketing companies, you don't know to which company the sale is attributable. Maybe he didn't go here purely for the money, but it seems pretty damn likely that money is his only real concern now as far as the club is concerned.

They've also bought all Bundesliga players, and loaned the players back to the own clubs they signed them from... fucking Chelsea.

Was never going to happen. Blaming Wenger for not winning cups is like blaming George Best for never winning a World Cup, incidentally. I know Laudrup/Martinez got Swansea/Wigan trophies, but cup draws involve an element of luck and Wenger has a very good record (only lost once or twice against lower division sides in 15+ years or something like that). Really hope Arsenal win something this year, he deserves it for slogging out with clubs with a lot more resources year-after-year. Well... yes and no. On the cup business Birmingham might have something to say, and 10 years ago Arsenal were in ManU's position. While neither can compete financially with the oil clubs (it's been long since ManU truly broke the bank), ManU has been able to keep winning trophies while Arsenal have been in a slow slide. Just 3-4 seasons ago they were still mounting a title challenge; now that doesn't look remotely possible. And I'm sure they didn't lose players like Cesc or Van Persie because they couldn't meet their wage demands. I'm not sure how the new stadium affected them financially, if the reports about their cash in hand are true, though, it seems they have thrifted their way into irrelevancy. The Birmingham game wasn't exactly a freak accident (as they'd had a poor defensive spell for a while up until that game, as I recall), and Wenger was partially at fault for that debacle, but I don't mean to argue he is perfect. He is, on the whole, consistently amazing though. Comparing Arsenal & Man Utd isn't too far off comparing Arsenal & Chelsea. I respect there wasn't always such a financial chasm between Arsenal & Man Utd, but that's not exclusively (or even mainly?) because of their management of the football teams, it's director-level strategy/business too. Man Utd do spend/pay wages in a different orbit to Arsenal. I disagree on the Cesc/RVP issues. So with Chelsea/Man City/Man Utd in a different league to everyone else, Arsenal win the league every year Arsene recognises that isn't enough (and I think he said as much in the latest interview I saw) but I think the world will see just how fantastic a job he has done when his eventual replacement comes along. As I said, hope he does get more silverware before he goes.

No one is on the other side of that argument O-Nut. The more senior of the youth should be stepping up (though I feel for them when even HBA & co struggle to look any good under Pardew's regime), but there's a reason he's said this in the press rather than privately: pre-emptive safeguarding against personal criticism.
-
O-Nut: to say they're on their last chance after he threw them to the wolves last season is disgraceful. If he wants to discuss accountability for performance in such strong terms he would do well to take a look in the mirror first. He will blame everyone and everything around him for as long as he can because he's a coward. The youth are his safety net tonight, when he should be theirs.

Agger injured too? (came off after 10 minutes)
-
Be surprised if we get 6 shots on target.
-
Six. Entertaining the crowd for some reason.
-
Didn't realise they were playing their full team (minus Berbatov).
-
Norwich hit a fifth.
-
Does Di Canio usually give post-match interviews quite quickly after the game?

Agbonlahor is a very good shout IMO.
-
He retired during the summer, but Hodgson couldn't be bothered to revisit more than four or five of the squad places this time around.
-
He would be closer to Mecca. Bingo, right on the money.
-
If he was being told not to play, his agent would be out telling everyone. Why would he sit quiet and let the club say he is refusing to play if he isn't? He is just being a little huffy c*** as usual. Club have asked him the sale will go through smoother if he keeps shtum? Could be a mutual agreement, between player and club - we don't know. Soon to be ex-players get called all sorts. Colo is no longer being called every name under the sun any more, I note.

Fair play for doing it yourself. Expect people will just snipe at your ones instead of do their own now though!
