  1. He's talking about a different incident Cubaricho, where Krul saved down low to his right.
  2. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11679/7297190/Silva-gets-Richards-vote Short snippet on Micah respecting Newcastle's defence.
  3. Ah, that Shola decision was horrendous. Pissed me off no end
  4. Not an item of particular interest to me, but Ferdinand. Better than Stam too IMO.
  5. As long as we remain consistent against the rest of the league, and Liverpool don't, we don't necessarily have to be better than them to pip them. Agreed. Also, I think Liverpool's depth - while expensive - is overrated. Beyond Suarez they don't have much incision up front, and while I rate Bellamy, not sure how he'd do in the long-run if something took Suarez out for a while. Defensively, they don't seem brilliant to me either - though I'll say this - the whole team works very hard defensively off the ball. The way I see it, 7th spot is ours to lose after the start to the season we've had. We've taken points off all our obvious main contenders (though maybe there is a wildcard who may challenge) and we've built up a strong foundation. There is no harm in dreaming or aiming higher though - and that ambition certainly shouldn't be met with derision or laughter. Our first-team is capable of some great things, and given more time to gel and get to know each other - in terms of personnel - it's exciting to think of the type of football we can play with a bit more confidence, and a bit more of a fear factor in our opposition. There's no reason why they can't start to play a brand of football akin to Spurs, maybe better. The depth is the issue though - so far our squad players have come in and contributed very well, especially Guthrie.
  6. Agree. The law should be amended to reflect a penalty being given if the ball would otherwise be going in the back of the net, irrespective of the intention of the offending player. For other situations, the laws of intention seem adequate IMO.
  7. Safe to say at this point that Capello is a fucking idiot. Wouldn't be out of place on RTG.
  8. Udinese and AC are two and three goals to the good respectively. [Nah, not really - only £10. Comfortably up for the weekend ]
  9. QPR stands out as a fixture we didn't deserve anything from (though I didn't catch the whole game, I should add). Which was more than evened out by Villa, which we deserved three points from. A draw wasn't an unfair result from the Spurs game, but I was disappointed to leave the game with only 1 after Tiote bossed your midfield so convincingly.
  10. Nah, I felt we were in the ascendancy and had control of midfield after we equalised. Then Defoe scored a cracking snap shot from nothing and the game changed/we had to chase.
  11. Blackburn beat the shit out of Spurs and deserved something too. We deserved three against them too IMO. They're good at taking points.
  12. Hoping Ruiz can conjure something here.
  13. Sociedad? They're losing, mate. Madrid have already won. Quite emphatically, no less!
  14. This is annoying good result Spurs are looking likely to pull off. Can't the rest of the league pull its weight ffs, only us and the Manchester clubs pulling our weight against Bale & Co. Pfft.
  15. Fulham need to whip out a performance like they did against Citeh.
  16. Feel a little bad Ferguson's progress/opportunities have stalled after some promising displays last season.
  17. They're a tough cookie at home. I'll plump for a bore draw.
