Gervinho already pissing all over Walcott in terms of final ball. They'll be much better with him and Song back in the side. Edit: Of course, the very second I click post he spoons one over.

Arshavin playing with a bit more confidence lately. Good to see.

Great ball and finish.

That's a quality goal.

Feeling quite risk-averse this weekend, so: Wolves DNB Bolton DNB Barcelona -1 at about 11/8

Never seen him seem so desperate: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14950967.stm

Second this. It's done for the match threads, and would be useful - eg "Davide Santon sent for scan after knee injury (pg 95)" Good idea
-
All a question of preference tbh. If you want four or five threads for every tiny piece of Newcastle-related news there are places like that out there... namely RTG.

You are fucking kidding me! Oh look, the old sign...

Shame much of the excitement about the midfield partnership of Tiote and Cabaye has dissipated after they both seem to be a) being bypassed by high balls b) are both quite deep lying at present ...and, as usual, we're back to hoping we play decent football when HBA returns from injury!
-
Aye I know, but would be more entertaining than hoof'n'lose and probably have an identical success rate. Jonas, Best, Cabaye, Marveaux and Ba - should kick off in a Mighty Ducks Flying V. Ready to collect the loose ball from tackles from the lead runner

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14924319.stm I often wonder why there aren't more American style "plays" from kick-off. We seem to lose the ball within about six or seven seconds from kick off anyway (pass back, hoof, (win header, lose second ball/lose header, lose second ball) - wouldn't mind someone trying this. Maybe Sammy.

Not a safe looking weekend to me. Going to lump on Bolton and leave it at that, probably!
-
Because that was you, I genuinely misread that as "onwards and downwards". ... Sorry.

Shit. Tough midweek for betting.

Really good performance from Napoli. More than just organised. Talented, creative side.
-
You missed Spurs off that list. They've been impressive. Chelsea won their first five league games last season 6-0, 6-0, 2-0, 3-1, 4-0 and won nowt. Just saying. Hm, noted. Don't think it's premature to consider Man City title contenders though. Their squad is frightening, and when they open the season playing as they have it's a bit of a 2 + 2 situation. On a separate note, this referee has been different class tonight

Really good by Nasri and Aguero. Unlucky.
-
Yup, rode their luck a little first half but a fantastic away performance so far.
-
Nasri should have come off a while ago. Bit of stinker IMO.

Napoli countering Man City fantastically.
