He had an amazing start to the season IIRC. Be surprised if he isn't still in the black.
-
Yes, but only because I'm worried he won't hit 30 games otherwise!
-
Would you care to place a wager on his goal scoring record for the season? Perhaps a wager which would see yourself quoted in your sig? Goal to game ratio at 40%? Alreet then. Has to make at least 30 appearances, though. Fair, non? 30 - League and cups. What's your forfeit? Liverpool avatar for two months? Change your username to Stevie G? Both, including Bill Shankly's Liverpool Reserves quote, as well as Benitez calling us a small club, as a sig. Your sig looks a bit crowded, I'll stick in mine

Someone suggested chucking Simpson out and putting Raylor in for him (and getting a new LB/Ferguson in the defence). Imagine if Jonas does end up switching wings, believing he will be unencumbered by having to double up on his defensive duties - only to have Raylor switched across too!

Class goal again. He played with a bit more confidence afterwards too. Even did an opponent when defending!

He was. He was decent but nothing more. I'm not sure he's viewed in terms of his relative importance to the team, but I'd be worried if you're relying on him to score consistently. Why do you say that? [/genuine question] Based on tonight? He had a shocking performance from a goalscoring perspective, but we know he can finish from last season. A bit more match time, as I've said, and he'll get goals. No doubt in my mind. His goalscoring record last season was pretty hand. I just don't think he has the quality to get many goals when you're playing badly. I wouldn't want to be relying on him to stick the ball in the net once every 3 games, or whatever. His best work came outside the box tonight. Fair enough, mate. I hope Pardew gives him the chance to prove you wrong/me right. For now we'll have to agree to disagree. Bit of a wait and see with this one. Watch this space. ... Also, I hate you.

Took a bit of a battering in the match thread, but still quite optimistic about Gosling. He drives forward very well and this was just one poor performance, and it was hardly abysmal. Chin up, keep working hard.

That's the thing, I don't think the club/Pardew have faith in him as a starter. Third in line IMO, and probably fourth when Ben Arfa is back. Agree. Which is a shame, because I really do think his link-up play makes us a much better attacking unit. His finishing, for the most, was shoddy tonight admittedly but he brought more to the team in terms of attacking in open play than any other striker has this season. It was only Scunthorpe, but this was true last season.
-
I think he can still go on to be a really good striker for us, if he gets enough match time. If/when he gets a run of games, I'm fairly certain he'll have a good return of goals. Definite starter for Fulham.
-
Like the way he takes charge and wants the ball, and to make things happen. When Tiote goes away for ACN, I really hope Pardew puts Vuckic in with Cabaye. Would at the very least be a fierce midfield! Would like him to start next game, but I'm dreaming

Loved Beresford's impersonation of the opposition defender. Like they're up against Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
-
Beresford - rare instance of a good player and a good commentator.

Feel a bit breathless having watched that. Cracking tie.

I can very much imagine Shola having a Forever Alone face right now

Loudest scream of the season for me Woke up the house.
-
FUCKING SAMMMMMMMMMMY!
-
My god man. The existence of Sammy Ameobi makes me so happy.
-
So glad I bought a shirt with Ameobi on the back. Thought I might have missed out a little bit what with Shola having most of his career behind him, but I've got a whole career's worth of Ameobi to look forward to.

If that's a yellow, Raylor's was a pen.
