Well that half went about as well as I could have hoped for with the players out there in the formation we're in, predictable performances : Thiaw carrying on the form of being the best centre back to ever wear black and white. Gordon being gutless and clueless up front. Murphy being exposed when asked to deal with pressure on the ball. Barnes absolutely clinical on the rare chance he's involved. Livramento locking off their right wing. Bruno and Tonali looking absolutely shot out there. The surprise for me is Willock, he's really taking his chance this game, this is the Willock of old that terrified defences with his direct running. Looks to be playing with confidence and there was even a neat one-touch pass from Murphy into Tonali to relieve pressure down the right. If we can eek out a win from this it would be a very good result for us. Would take a point. I think an actual striker who isn't afraid of physical contact might give us better options.

Can't criticise Murphy at all - he's a right-winger who's not good at the short-passing game. Not his fault he's been played on the right of defence with fellow short-pass specialist Joe Willock for his out-ball option.
