Commentators on my feed are having real issues pronouncing Murphy -

Murphy rocket -
Bruno, Pope, Schar, Botman are the only nailed-on ones imo. Every other place is going to be up for grabs when all are fit if Livramento joins.

Anyone can hit me up with a river would be appreciated -
It would help people who don't understand the advantage of playing out from the back and inviting opponents on to you. If you take out 3 or 4 opponents with some incisive passing in your own half and then pick up the tempo to drive towards their goal with less players between you and the opposing keeper, you're more likely to score than whacking it long where your attackers are inevitably outnumbered. But if the players at the back aren't confident on the ball then it can lead to some very embarrassing moments indeed. Not to say there isn't a time and a place for a well-timed long pass, I'm all for that (Schar is a master), but it's about being fluid and finding the right approach for whatever is in front of you.

It's not to be taken lightly that these pre-season goals and assists have come against top opposition, not some of the usual dross we might be playing otherwise. Granted these games are not at the pace of a regular PL game, but still bodes well.

I know nothing about this lad. We can't have much left in the pot for a top tier left back. As others have said, wonder if we'll see Trips at LB sometimes now...

Hi Eddie, keep up the good work fella.

I'm far from Wilson's biggest fan but he's absolutely indispensable to us right now. Isak hasn't proven he can be fit for the majority of the season and after Wilson we have nothing in terms of established strikers. He scores goals at a fantastic rate, he's an elite poacher. -

I couldn't believe we sold Milner when we did tbh.

He's having a pre-season like Almiron had last year, hopefully he can take a pinch of Almiron's autumn form too.

We really need to double down on a more possession-based, slow-tempo system for some games. We can't play at 100mph for every game now with Europe as well. This was our trump card vs top opposition, we ran nearly every team off the pitch because we had less games to play so we could go 110% in most of our games. I'd be delighted with top 6, but I'm really keen to see how Eddie manages the fitness of the squad over the season, and whether he's going to change it up tactically with the amount of games to play.

Steady on now

How's he getting there, horse and cart? Been travelling there a while now hasn't he.

Is it a fair comment to say that Anthony Gordon and Joe Willock are quite similar in what they bring to the team? Direct running, goal threat, laying on assists, breaking from midfield etc.

Sorry man Attitude Adjustment was his finisher

Woah, you might need to adjust your attitude a bit

I've heard stories of PL players that compared to others that are seen as workhorses, unskilled, players that just put in the effort, absolutely dominating players of lower levels. I'm sure I heard an anecdote of John Terry playing 5-aside with some friends and he played for one team in the first half scored 5 goals making it 5-0, then in the second half played for the other team and scored another 5 and it ended up 5-5.
